What happened to 5Zigen, can't find new wheels anywhere and their USA website is gone?

got them painted in Candy Blue and fitted 205/50/15 Federal 595 RS-R

and heres the reason why i got them....check out that caliper clearance! (prelude BB1/BB4 brakes) with the old Rota Auto X (15x6.5 +40) i could barely fit a credit card in there hahaha...need that caliper clearance as im planning on fitting Nissan Silvia 4pot calipers onto the car

Do they still make FN01R-Cs? I heard that they no longer did, one of my wheels has a bend in it and I may replace it if it's not fixable. I personally love FNs, I know a lot of people don't like them but they're super light and I think they look pretty good.

I have an earlier set of FN01RC's (clear coated aluminum finish) on my project car - can any of you 5Zigen owners comment on the durability of the clear coated finish? I bought my set used a few years ago and they were spotless. The car hasn't yet been on the road since I put them on and I've got a decent amount of oxidation going on. Frustrating!

 

Dunno. Mine were rattle canned black when I got them. When I stripped that off, the original finish, which was the clear coat machined finish had oxidation.

Most sets I see with OEM finish are black, and bronze, and theyre the HOT Version, so who knows the differences.

 

Mine have been on my car since the early 2000s; up until this year the car was never garaged and was always outside. Outside of some curbs/scratches on the wheels (terrible driver lol), the wheels still look good. The decals have ended up fading or rubbing off but there's no oxidization or anything messing with the color. I'm not 100% sure which finish mine are - I believe they're "hyper black". Aside from being covered in brake dust they're still shiny as they were from day 1.

I'm actually pretty impressed with the finish on the wheels, I would like to refinish/repair the curbs and scratches and whatnot though.

 

anyone have a spare 5 zigen div.3 center cap or caps for sale. 2 out of the 5 tabs broke off and it will no longer stay on

Ah yes, I got 4 5zigen N1R QF but one of them have to be repaired. Very light, I love them.
