Default Building a 1993 Del Sol Si! From RICE to somewhat stock!

I picked up a 1993 Del Sol Si for $400 a couple days ago. Overall the car was a steal for $400 it has no rust at all which is extremely hard to find in my area of New York. It "has" 88K on the odometer but i don't believe it. Probably more around 120-130K. The interior is destroyed and i already started gutting it. There are hacked wire jobs for led lights which i ripped out most of them already. And the thing that i really dislike is the doors. They are shaved( have no handles) instead they have a keyless entry type thing that you press and press in on the door and "sometimes" it opens. The passenger one does not work at all as of right now. Eventually ill just be replacing the doors. All the interior parts were painted or covered in vinyl a long time ago. The job is very hacked and not nice at all. I don't have much pics of the car before i gutted most of the interior but ill post all i have below. The seats are sun faded and the brackets aren't made for a del sol so you can only put one bolt in them. It has a huge water logged ricer wing that looks like complete **** in my opinion. The seats and spoiler are going to go up for sale the rest of the interior I'm just going to toss.
Heres the pics i have so far. More to come.

The first 4 pics are from the previous owners craigslist post

This pic is from me when i was checking out the car

Some interior like the center console and hand rest was taken out here

More pics to come!

Im definitely interested but the shipping prices for the complete doors would probably be crazy. Unless you happen to live in the new york area lol.

Shipping prices aren't that bad. Get them wrapped up and thrown under a greyhound bus. My neighbor did that with a 380zx hatch from AZ to PA for $75. But, being that you're in NY, you'd have access to alot more things than you do in BFE.

Thats a good idea. The doors aren't really first on my list to do in the meanwhile ill be checking craigslist every once in awhile for parts. Ive had a lot of good luck finding parts for extremely cheap on there.

Rice wing was deleted today. Paint underneath wasn't to bad slight rust bubbling but nothing serious just have to remove the old adhesive and plug the holes.

Looks like a long road ahead of you but in the end, it'll be all worth it. Looking forward to the end result. Good luck!

Small update for today: I fixed the rear window before it wouldn't go up or down at all. I took it all completely apart. Come to find out that the previous owner spliced the wires that go to the motor and then wired them to a speaker. Don't ask me why i don't understand the logic of this. But i rewired it all and got it working thats all that matters. Tomorrow I'm picking up all the interior for $300. Ill get a better look at some of the wiring (there looks like there are a lot spliced wires. Mostly from interior lighting and the shaved automatic door kit.) the previous owner did under the dash when I'm replacing it.

Peep those OEM zig zag floor mats. Mine are overall good condition just a little faded and dirty. I heard these might be worth some money is this true?

There getting very rare Yeah a nice set is worth 200-250..new in box 400-450 ....I have seen beat up ones with wear holes for 100.00

I really wanted a set but since mine is just a daily driver... I got 96-00 civic ones and there a pretty good fit and still plentiful and cheap

Also just bought a crappy eBay cutback kit for $120

Also bought a cheap $8 valve cover gasket kit.

Heres some pics of the mats i have they could be cleaned up a little better I'm looking to sell them to put the money towards some other more important things for my sol. I know this isn't supposed to be a for sale forum but if anyone is interested in buying them let me know. Accepting paypal.
