That's what I did, then when I did the retrofit I primered the reflector grey.
Chris
the only way a primered reflector would work is if i did an hid retrofit and i'm not going to do that. still need the reflectiveness for regular headlights.
Yeah, I had already started putting stuff together for the retrofit when I got the idea to do mine that way, But to paint the headlights like I did was super easy. Just remove the clear lens and the trim piece has 2 or 3 screws in it and it comes out and can be scuffed and painted.
By the way still no luck on the supra motor. This thing is killing me.
man speaking of supra...was delivering parts today for work and went to a local dealer and he had an anniversary editio mkIV supra sitting on his showroom floor. had to think of baseball to keep from getting a hard on
lights came in last night. did the oven trick to get them apart. it must have been Friday at 5 judging by how much glue was on one of the lights. took forever to get that one apart.
factory Honda roof rack should be in later today. stoked i can finally carry my bike now

i need to get the ambition to finish them. this weekend i think the warmest it was oustside was 8 degrees. i don't really feel like painting them in the apartment. will have to wait until next week to finish apparently
finished up the lenses last night. few coats of satin black on the housings and then put them back in the lenses. overall pretty easy job once you get them apart.

Came out great. But yes its super easy and yet some people still pay a decent chunk of change to order them that way. I think the last pair I saw for sale on a website were like 120 or something.
put the headlights back together and in the process of cleaning the garage, took the 30 minutes to install the headlights. look way better, just need to get them aimed correctly now.

WOW this build ROCKS!! awesome work man. I am ready to get my 99 running right so i can start doing the fun mods like this!! i am going to same route with my crv. the reason i bought it was to do exactly what you have done. what kind of gas mileage are you getting? still around 18?
also do you have a part number for those lift springs and front spacer? i cant find where iron man lifts sells springs for the crv. prices?

Did you do 2 holes or 3 for the rear spoiler? Great for Honda to give us 2 marks to drill the holes. I think some do 2 and some 3. Just wanted to know what you did in your build.

mileage after bigger tire calculation is anywhere between 18-20 mpg. will probably be better once it finally warms up. i also only run premium fuel in mine. ironman doesn't make the springs anymore i'm pretty sure, plus go with the OME springs. they will ride better and give it a more level stance. i currently do not have any spacer on the front, i'm debating on going with some OME front springs only

there are 3 holes if it's a factory spoiler. all are marked, one of the holes is under the rubber plugs that are by the mounts. just drill out those circular marks and bolt it directly on

So take off that rubber plug and drill right in the center where the rubber plug was? That should be the correct location for the 3rd hole? Did you do a 4th hole for the brake light wires? Thanks.
Fullmark grille arrived today after just under a month of shipping time! need to get it to the body shop for paint now!
also had a front strut go bad so I'm switching up the suspension setup in the front. going with the coilover sleeve/universal spring setup to level out the lift and hopefuly make it ride a little better. if it does fix the ride a bit, i will do the back soon
