I know most of them and I always had permission to four wheel and hunt as long as I picked up after myself and didn't tear up their crops. They liked it when I killed animals that eat the crops.

Chris
oh ya, we have a bad deer and turkey overpopulation going on around here
so not a huge update, but picked up some more hard to find parts!
1st off...found a working rear wiper motor to install in mine. ha after a couple rounds of snow i realized it was a pretty important piece
got around to installing my passenger armrest I found at a local salvage yard. had a minor panic attack when I started cutting into my passenger seat to mount the bracket
makes the interior look way more complete with the passenger armrest installed
also found a wrecked SE model CRV in a local yard that was in very good shape, just popped in the front end. snagged the roof rack, wheel cap, and valve cover off of it. was surprised to see a difference in factory roof racks from 96-98 and 99-01. the cross bars are wider and more sturdy on the newer racks
bonus shot of my roof rack hauling a roof rack home from the yard
also have an LED conversion kit for the interior lights that I will install sometime this weekend.
now just waiting on my spoiler to get back from paint and get it installed for this summer and have an EDM center vent on the way with the red hazard switch.
also in the market for another 5 speed crv. have an eg hatch i'm willing to trade towards a crv that runs great. body doesn't have to be in the best shape, gonna build an all out trail one that doesn't need to be washed or the exterior maintained with tube bumpers, a lift, and mud terrains

ya there's about a half inch of space between the tire and the glass. was kinda nervous the first time i went to open mine with the tire on but it clears
Since I have owned this, I have slowly grown tired of how uncomfortable the seats are in this thing. Broke down and decided to pick up a set of 4th gen Prelude seats to install in my V.
Found this mint set in a local salvage yard but never realized they didn't have any pattern to them
Luckily I have a higher optioned out set of seats from the same gen Prelude in my hatchback that have this kind of pattern which is very close to the CRV pattern
Once it warms up I will do a thread for installing these in the crv!

Hey man! I just realised you are following me on Instagram! Nice V! Good luck your project.
How wide are the cross beams on the newer rack? I have a 99 and the cross beams don't seem that wide! I get scrared loading more then 50 lbs on top of there. Looks flimsy.
Sometimes I place 2x4 blocks from rail to rail and load way more weight (90-120 lbs). does the newer rack have the same weight restriction on it?

The newer rack is a lot more sturdy. The cross bars are probably 3 inches wide. Unfortunately the weight limit is the same. I haven't had anything crazy on there yet, the most that will be on there is a couple mountain bikes.
Picked up a donor seat today from a local yard. Will start on the mock up tonight once i get the civic rail switched from the pattern'd seat to my all black seat

started on the swap process tonight. you have to use both rails off the crv.
the inner rail is welded to the frame so you have to take that off as one piece. looks like this
when you get that bolted to the prelude bottom cushion there is a 2" gap between the crv frame and the prelude bottom cushion. simple bolt and washers takes care of that
you have to drill holes in the outer prelude frame to mount the outer crv slider. didn't get pics of this but will tomorrow when i do the driver seat.
these seats are a million times more comfortable than the factory crv seats. this pic is the difference between the factory prelude seat and rails to the prelude seat on the crv rails

thanks man! going to pick up the drivers side seat today. since you have to fully disassemble the seats, i wanna keep my factory ones in 1 piece. G35's would be sweet but that's going to be a lot of modifying. I thought about maybe buying the rest of that prelude interior but the back seat would be way too narrow for the rear seats of the crv
Its possible. I was thinking the opposite of the G35 fronts, I wonder if they will be too wide. But yeah they will take a lot of modifications to get them in which is why its still on the drawing board.
Went out last night with some coworkers to test our short wheel base, 4wd vehicles. 1998 Kia Sportage, my CRV and an 04 Jeep Liberty Renegade.
Renegade ended up being the only one to get stuck
day shots from today...
1st picture is first ditch, Sportage went first and then I followed. was about a foot deep all the way through
2nd shot is the ditch that the Jeep got stuck in. Was 15" deep at the very beginning of the ditch from the field. Jeep got stuck in about 24". After Jeep was pulled out, I took my crv through it the first time where I exited on the left, 2nd time I went as far as I could and barely made it out. Averaged about 28" deep all the way through

braved the cold weather last night for a little over an hour and put the prelude seats in.
was surprised how easy they dropped in. didn't take any work at all, all bolt holes lined up. they do sit a little lower than the factory crv seats but are a million times more comfortable!
