I don't think so. The ecu needs to control the shift points

This is not as easy you think it is. I have done the swap before. First, the integra ecu's did not integrate the automatic shift control into the ecu. Only the p06, p05, and p28's did. Here is the other problem, the integra automatic transmissions do not work with the p06, p05 or p28 shift controls. The only for this to work is to wire in the integra shift control box. It would be really helpful if you listed year, make, and model of your car plus if it is a automatic or manual originally.

oh ok. my car is an 93 civic dx coupe automatic.
and the swap came off a 94 integra ls also automatic.
i have three ecu's...p06-a51, p75-a54, and p75-a01.
hope this helps you to help me.
p75-a54 is obd2 automatic
p75-a01 is obd1 manual
p06-a51 is obd1 automatic

If you want to use the automatic ls transmission that you have now, then you will have to wire in the integra TCU (transmission control unit). I can convert the p75 manual ecu to automatic. The other to make this work is to use a jdm b16a automatic transmission since it works with the p06 ecu shift control. Then have it chipped for a p75.

so even if i use a p75 obd1 for an automatic it will not work?

Not without the matching TCM, which is a pain in the *** to wire up. It's much easier to swap in a manual B-series tranny than it is to do an automatic B-series swap.

Since when could you swap a automatic B trans into a Civic? I thought it wouldn't fit.

Do you have all the wiring and everything from the donor car the B series motor came from? Maybe you could just swap the harness over, cluster and everything.

I would convert from AT to MT, but it took me long to do so in an ek i have. lol.

oh ok. so then, what if i use a p75 ecu that already has the shift points integrated into the ecu like the p06's do? and then just acquire an obd1 to obd2 jumper harness.

By changing a few things around in the ecu, I can turn the p75 into a auto ecu. You are still missing the point here. You still need to wire in the TCM for the transmission to shift the transmission. When I modified the ecu, it can now signal the tcm to shift the transmission.

There's very little extra work besides the engine swap itself which you're doing either way, basically it's just adding the pedal set, running the clutch line and doing some minor wiring, shouldn't add more than a few hours to the swap.

thanks, but at this point i'm just trying to move forward with the swap since if i do a MT conversion i will need to buy clutch lines, tranny, pedal assembly, linkage, cut the floor for the linkage, wire pedal assembly, and that's too much. i just want to keep it stock and just find the correct way to wire the swap. lol.

i'm waiting on jayWknight to reply with price on the ecu.

Trust me, you will hate yourself. Btw, the LS tranny doesn't clear the frame rail IIRC, JDM B16A will but then you're into buying a transmission anyway. Also you don't need to cut the floor for the linkage, you just need to drill two 5/16 holes.

it won't clear? u sure?

i think i am going to hate myself then. lol.

idk wtf i'm going to do. i might be stubborn and still be missing the point, but i'm going to 1st see if the swap will fit and if it does then figre out a way of wiring it properly to a correct ecu and tcu if i need one.

i've been researching like crazy and found out that obd2b ecu's of an integra have the shift-points integrated into them as oppose the obd2a and obd1 ecu's that require the tcu being wired in.

Pretty sure, B16A tranny is slightly different and does clear if you massage the frame rail with a hammer.

They also have an immobilizer that renders the ECU useless outside of the original car unless you remove it (which will give you a constant CEL for bad ECU, unless you have it replaced with a dummy unit) plus you'll have to wire up a secondary O2 sensor, do the CKF trick, and swap the fuel tank for one with a fuel tank pressure sensor (as well as wire in said fuel tank pressure sensor) unless you live in a state with no emissions and don't care that you have numerous CELs.

UPDATE!!!
swap fits!!!
turns on & idles fine, but won't drive. lol. it cuts off. (p06 ecu) i know it won't work.
next step is to wire proper ecu and tcm.
stay tuned...
PS. tranny does rub on frame, but fabbing up a mount.
