Was wondering if 89-91 civic/crx suspension will fit on a 95' del sol. Thanks in advance for the help.

 

Define "suspension." What exactly do you intend to swap? Springs? Dampers? Springs and dampers? Control arms? Knuckles? Trailing arms?

 

Well my friend has a cheap set of tein basic coilovers for 89-91 civic/crx. Can those fit my del sol?

 

You can install them if you use the front lower shock forks from an '88-91 Civic/CRX. The del Sol front lower forks are too large in diameter.

They are shorter overall than the correct coilover assemblies for your vehicle, so you'll gain some damper compression travel but lose some droop travel. It shouldn't be much of a problem as long as you're using stock upper control arms in the front.

it's the other way around. ef/da struts are taller than dc/eg. specifically the rear

 

DA rear dampers are NOT the same as EF/ED rear dampers. DA rear dampers have longer bodies and the spring perch is mounted lower on the body so the free length of the spring is also longer.

Also, damper body length does not necessarily correlate with full extension length.

If you have the EF/ED front lower mounting forks, it works - just not as ideally as the correct parts.
