The car is now retuned on corn fuel.

Let me start off by saying IMW's dyno had a previous on going issue that was finally fixed which I wasn't aware of. Well with this new fix came a software update which now takes the dyno from reading like a dyno jet to reading like a mustang dyno(You will see what I mean) lol

So I got there, and Derek pulled my "stock" fuel pump out to replace it with the new 255 I purchased to find out there was already a Walboro 255 in there, so we just put that one back in, and I guess I'll be selling the new one.

The car ended up making 190whp on 93 octane(previously 216whp)

The car made 200whp on e85, so I guess with a solid 10hp gain you could say it would have made 226 if the same correction was applied as my first tune, but **** it I don't care what it makes on the dyno I care what it runs on the track.

Then we did a leakdown test for ***** and giggles and it was 5% in cylinders 2-4 and 3% in cylinder 1

It seems to pull nicely.

I guess the track will tell all though if I can get a set of slicks.

Went to the track on street tires. Best pass was a 14.2 @ 99mph with a friend driving spinning off the launch, letting off, and getting back into it.

Car started misfiring and the tach jumping on the way home, and then about 5 miles from my house died. Finally got it started back it up and made it like a half mile from my house and it died again, got it started up and got it home.

I swapped the ignitor in the dizzy with an obd0 one and I took the car out earlier and it didn't misfire, but it started tach jumping again, so I guess I'm just going to get another distributor.

So, I need an Obd2 B series vtec distributor.

damn that sucks.. but that means you got your mount welded.

i wish i could have got a good pass in too last time i was at the track. Put Putting off the line, wheel hopping in second and letting of, then granny shifting into 3rd at 4k. 13.89 @103mph on 185/60R14s no back seats too. in my CX hatch with power windows and locks.

Yea it was weird like I said he launched spun, let off for a second then got back on it and went 14.2 @ 99, so I don't know he even said if he could have made another pass it would have been a 13 for sure at probably over 100.

yeah that sounds about right, what i do on street tires at the track, is hold the rev to about 1500, then just drop clutch, it chirps then when i feel the carspin a bit and moving i floor it, works out pretty good, ive cut a 13.7 around 102-103mph on some 16inch yoko pradas,,so it can def be done, of course i did drop tire pressure down to 10 pounds,, i will def be keeping up with this thread, one of the best on honda tech, good luck man on hitting your goals!!

great build. very similar to something im starting. ill be using rs machine b16 spec pistons as well but ill be going with the cc cylinder heads race head job. either skunk2 pro 2 or buddy club 4's don't know yet. and been actually thinking of using the obx itb's. i have read they have been making good power on smaller build like the 1.8's. ill be tuning on E-85 from the get go. hopefully i start my build thread sometime next month. also thinking of spraying a little shot but undecided yet, what think about sparying on rs machine pistons?

Word maybe I'll try that. Tire Pressure was at 22 psi. I'm just frustrated the car isn't doing the times I figured it would. Thanks man.

Thanks, eh I'm not really a fan of obx parts, I'm sure a good plenum manifold will perform just as well. Now if we were talking Kinslers that'd be a different story. There's nothing wrong with spraying on rs machines pistons, but I'd recommend aftermarket rods.

c'mon 13's!! ha, Nice power man..I feel you on the frustration..my lsv with gsr header and cams only did a 15.1 at 93mph rofl! so shitty. 2.3 60ft.. AND my car weights 2450 with me in it...so crappy.

I get tuned on the 30th tho, buddyclub spec 4 cams, rmf narrow header, 3 inch exhaust, 440cc precision injectors on 93 pump. I really hope the motor is healthy.. Still have a few things to take out to make the car in the 2300lbs range with me in it. I better f*cking see a 13 sec, or atleast a 103-105mph trap.

Well it did do a 13.87 on slicks when the 2 step was too low and the car was bogging, but I didn't have access to any slicks this past weekend.

I know the car wasn't going to do a good ET on street tires, but I at least figured 13s at over 100, but nope.

dang i must of missed that.. well nice job on the 13, looking forward to your next run. I know you don't really want to gutt your car..but can't the civic coupes get lighter than the dc tegs? I say strip whats not needed and go for a high 12 on slicks . That was my goal. make a 12 sec na teg..but using a 1.8 makes it kinda difficult with my *** budget..soo gotta strip.

According to the Honda-Tech weight chart my car weighs 2337, which I guess if that's correct that's obviously with a D series which weighs less than B, but I don't have PS or AC.

There's nothing in my trunk, but my car does have full interior.
