skunk2 tie-bar HELP!
Does it bolt up to position 1 or 2?

I thought it went where the DC bar goes but if it does it is not long enough, thanks
oh Hawkze, if you want me remove the pic just let me know, your cars dead sexy btw

Position 2 on the LCAs. Try switching the brackets to the opposite sides and it should be longer.
My car appreciates your compliment

thats where Im tried but even with those bolts hanging on by one thread on each side its still about a good 1.5in off combined. idk if hopupracing sent me the rong thing or what. I guess Im just going to either mod the brackets or try to find longer bolts because I allready drilled out the mounting brackets because the holes are too small. guess that means that I cant return it
Does the lca's really take that much force that I shouldn't be messing with the structural integrity of this piece?

It's not that big of a deal anyway, as it doesn't really do anything.

This man speaks the truth. Look at the giant hunk of metal bolted directly to the "frame rails" of your uni-body that is your rear subframe. Your not adding any stiffness to that by putting in a little aluminum bar, just take what they sent you and hang it with some zip-ties so people can see it as you drive along, because that's all it's good for.

I was half tempted to pick one of these up.. but if its not going to do much then im not gonna bother.. always wondered why it was placed ontop of the already solid frame..or even more if it WAS nessesary why the frame was that soft that it would bend so easily to begin with.

Can't you extend the ends of it by unscrewing them? Looks like it from the picture, that's how most strut/tie bars are.

Just confirming. A 4th gen skunk2 lower tie bar will not fit a 5th gen. Anyone else with a different experience? If not then, my questions have been answered
just looked at mine. it cant fit inbetween the LCA's. We fitted mine up against the toe arms in position one. im removing mine soon anyways, you cant see it and it does nothing anyway
