Gonna undoo the motor soon (1 munth)
Not cause i want it, but this kind of project need lot of affection
So the new head is ready, Im whaiting for the new head gasket that is nomore .030 but 0.036 caus motor will now run over 8000rpm and we remember that pistons are at 0 wit deck So this new head is shaved by .030 Now will be .036 betweene pistons and head. Still got .240 V2P tested wit VTEC head and Toda B cams Vtec engage...
The Honda max. shaved point of my P8R is at .005 still But this is nothing wit my valves notch of -4cc
So by the way ill inspect the motor as y install the new head.
Hope temperature will be on my side
Would need a week off !

Can't believe that couple of thousand peaple open this TREAD and only few of them leave a message about this Awesome built
I mean... i leave the info for everyone and just make it to leave some rare infos on this great site about nonvtec built.
but i would like to see more peaple get intrested in it...
But this is where you can see that if you dont have the hP numbers... the built himself is nothing much interesting.
This is why this kind of set up dose not exist at every street
But well see more of NONVTEC built in the futur
They win to be known

everybody is anxiously awaiting numbers

lack of high numbers, nonvtec or vtec is because of the tiny cams used, everybody is anxious to see what a set of 404's will do, because this build really BEGS on it's knees in front of you for some decent cams

untill then everybody just checks in silently waiting for some numbers, track or dyno

Great info on this post!! I would like to see your 2.2 with bigger cams

If I had this info before my build it would be easier.

Props for you from Chile .

OK some mouvement are going to be done...
I have some little over heating probleme after 30 minute of IDL (1200rpm) with the motor.
So i decide to go with the inspection sooner and the install of new P8R machined head and Crower SPRINGS/RETAINERS only for the moment... Motor is going to be redynoed soon, still on LS cams.. But ITR IM

if you still have the small ls cams in it with higher static compression then your dynamic c.r. is prob through the roof. I would put cams in it asap to help lower that.

well you see, in my opignon if the cams you swap in the motor bring you more torque at 3500rpm. is'nt lowering the CR but raising it with some more air to compress compare to small LS cams that dosnt allow the motor to bred properly..
The cams that will lowered the CR will need the be verry big and agressif that you gonna loose
torque at low end but you still gonna be able to bred at verry high RPM
In my mind, as long as the new cams bring more torque. They are not waisting air in over lapp yet... My CR is 11.4:1

New P8R HEAD IS ON.
Timing belt in on.
Valves ajusted.
Valve cover on.
Im finishing the seting, will restart the motor soon.
The inspection was not verri nice...
the F** and motor is running lean on crusing.
I will finally go hard on the case of the tuner
when its not the bad builther its the F* and tuner...
I Need to learn to tune
I will just try to make it tuned right this time...
Sample Pizza delivrer can go crazy when they try to get those motor built by F* and annybody
My first motor have been blown by a stupid shop called ADVANCE EFI performance in Qc.
The F* and howner send me H22 springs for a type R B motor... see the kind of baster
Springs coils bent on vtec and he knew
When i will know how tune properly some motors. Ill give up my daily job and open a performance shop.

motor restarted...
Got little probleme to find at the first, motor was running on 3
So there i decide to go wit 4 new plugs
was'nt that.
so i change the 4 wires and the motor is back on 4
New thermostat look like he solved my over heating probleme at IDL
Need to get apointement for redynoed... But have to talk wit someone before.

should have just unplugged the wires one at a time. the one you unplug that DOESNT make the motor run any shittier than it already is....is the bad one.

i have a skyline that blows coilpacks constantly, so i do that a lot lolol
