it should fit bc the stock rims on 92-96 preludes r 15s, and if u have 18s it should be fine. i was ablbe to put on motegi r7 16x7 on mine so u should also be able to.

^ Until you factor in that they're probably 0 offset.

Yes, you'll need to modify.. if you want them to look good.

Oh.. it looks like most of the 16x7 sportmax wheels are +38.. so you should be fine. Just don't go too wide when choosing tires. The rears may rub on your fenders.

I was under the impression all of XXR/sportmax's wheels were 0 offset.

Well, if youre going with 16x7 002, the offset is +38, and youre more than fine.

Heres jdmposer's prelude with sportmaxx's, +0 offset and 15x8. However you have to stretch the tires for it too fit and rolling your fenders would be a good idea. Even then you might have some slight rubbing/bumping.

Only the 8" wide wheels are 0 offset for XXR.

hoo that lude above is sexy!!

for the tire question, i recommend bfgoodrich g-forces. i'm running them in 195/50/15 sizes and even though its stretched, mannn do they grip! rain or shine that is.
