so the insurance guy came out today. he said the mileage and torn drivers seat is what is going to kill the value the most. but, he told me he will play with the numbers, to try and not total it for me, that way i get a check for xxxx and i keep the car and i can do with it what i want. he said a ballpark figue i was looking at getting from them is around $1500. plus i keep the car. hmmm...part out, and a new car it sounds like to me! lol

 

ah didnt realize that. and hardees is mad good. we dont have them around here sadly but i went to one some where on my way down to NC and the burgers were big and juicy.

 

we have a few hardees in the area. i prefer arby's though. best samiches around i think.

andy, did they polish your crank when you took it in? if they did, you might wanna make sure of what size bearings you need. plastigauge that ish so you don't seriously break something.

yeah they polished it. and said everything was std spec. also, when i put this one together, i'm balancing and blue printing it all, and that includes specing out the pistons rings and bearings as well. i plan on seeing some hiiiiiiiggggghhhh rpms of vtakage!!!! lol

 

shoulda kept your rods, and built an ls/vtec. that would be a fun car, higher compression, way high rpms, torque...

eh i'm not worried about it at all. i dont want an ls vtec right now so its no big deal to me. this is just a simple all motor dd engine i'm putting together so stock rods will do me just fine. i dont plan on reving past 9k, if even that much.

yeah, i dont plan on anything too crazy. 9k at the most. prob. just 8500 though

 

personally, i think he wants too much for it. you can find complete heads that are good for 50-100 more if you search enough....he texted me earlier asking me if i wanted it or knew anyone who did. i was surprised he texted me after the whole deal with the wheels.

 

yeah, but i'm sure i can get it way cheaper from him.
