I think the rules state something about the upper rad support remaining intact . . . I could be wrong though . .

Either way the car is bad *** and I like the idea of where the turbo is !

 

That's ill!! Great job being innovative on it, it was getting old seeing turbos on the side of the cars instead of in the middle

 

Do yourself a big favor and put the top rad support back on and just trim it around the turbo and nobody will bitch. I am not sure if you guys did anything else that is illegal as far as outlaw rules but I think by just putting the upper rad support back on will please everyone.

Gato is deff badass and always coming up with some great ideas.

the upper rad is there, they just chopped out that center part, now they can go back and put in a revised portion of that lol. Just make a nice aluminum bridge to close the gap and pop rivet it in.

 

The car is definitely meant to be by the rules. I guess that is the only thing that seems off but really doesnt give me any type of advantage. I was talking about it with Gato and he wanted to join the two pieces of radiator support making a custom bracket in between. But then again i dont know if that would be legal.

 

I am telling you, just put the missing piece back in and just trim it around the turbo. Dont make a piece to connect it. Put the factory piece back in a trim it.

Its not an advantage thing its a rule thing, put it back and everyone will shut up.

looks awesome! i had spoken with a customer a while back about doing a smaller turbo in that location but his car was stolen before we got a chance to do it.

yeah it's the best thing to do. I'll get around to it before the start of the season but for the mean time im gonna do some testing on it and see where we're at.
