Default madpiprs EG Ferio Build----with a lot of help from jdmeg6hatchy--- LOTS OF PICS!

Alright... So I sold my EK in July, and since bought a 92 Civic EX Sedan for $600 then have been working daily on getting this thing back to they way it should be.

I will start it off saying that when I bought it, I had NO idea what I was really getting in to. There were a few things about it that sold me on it as well.
1) 4 wheel disc brakes
2) Stock sway bars
3) power windows, locks, and a sunroof
4) untouched virgin P28 and a STRONG Z6

There were also quite a few bad things going on with it...
1) The front lower control arm bushings were SHOT... I couldnt even drive the car without the entire arm wanting to slide left or right
2) Both front fenders were rusted, and dented up really bad
3) The Left Rear door looked like someone had been thrown in to it
4) Rust on both rear quarter panels
5) Slight rust on the roof
6) Tires had cords showing and broken cords making the tires severely unreliable
7) LF wheel speed sensor was bad making the ABS light come on

This is what she came home looking like:

I dont have pics of the bad rear door, but this was a junkyard door in basically mint condition

My favorite were the "bullet holes" that were on the trunk. Added some real "character" to the car.

Then that same day I began the tear down, to see what parts would need to be ordered and to begin the fun part.... RECONSTRUCTION!!!

Not very many pics of the initial tear down, but this project went quick!

I then began sanding her down and trying to find all the dents and dings so we could fill them.

Just in case we forgot what was going on

jdmeg6hatchy had to completely reform this quarter panel with bondo... looks amazing

Got bored with doing the body work... that stuff is hard work, and its all by hand. But it came out great...

I had to start driving it at this point, so we put it together for the time being just so I could get to and from work.

Some goodies that I got along the way... Function and Form Type I, Energy Suspension Hyper Flex kit, Blox Camber kit...

Then miraculously it turn in to THIS!!!
-not really jdmeg6hatchys car

So I drove it like that about a month and a half until I could decide on a paint color. I wanted to keep it white, so I didnt have to tear all the interior out and do the door jams...

I decided on champ white, completely overdone, I know, but theres something about the way in looks in good light that I love...

PAINT DAY!!!!
the makeshift paint booth

then... 8 hours later... this is what we had

The car was painted by jdmeg6hatchy... pm him for details... we let it sit over night and then it came out like THIS!

this is by far my favorite shot of the car

And then yesterday we figured we would do a nice "photoshoot"

I dont have pics of the entire process of what I just posted, but you get the general idea. Both jdmeg6hatchy and I have put a TON of hours in over the last 3 months, and I have put a ton of MONEY into it as well.

Before the photoshoot, and while I have been driving, I had several things go bad on me.
My distributor went bad
2 days later the main relay went out
I got rear ended, but no major damage
Got new wheels and tires... 15x7 Drag DR-29 in bronze with Kumho Ecsta 205/50/15 tires
Got amber corners, because I didnt have time to look for an authentic pair of clear corners
Ferio door garnishes
and I'm sure there was plenty more

This was yesterdays shoot!

ALL TIME FAVORITE PIC OF MY CAR!!!

This is my timeline progression over the last 3 months

Please keep negative comments to yourself, unless you have some suggestions

Over the last 3 months, this car has been worked on at a minimum 100 hours, and I have dropped atleast $5000 in it, not including price of car.

I would like to thank jdmeg6hatchy for all the hard work, photos, and painting my car!!

Feel free to post suggestions as to what I need to do for the motor. Im looking to start that project in the spring once I get taxes back, but will buy some things leading to it.
- Im thinking of either a Vitara setup
- LS Turbo
-LS/VTEC
-B16 and keep it as close to "FERIO" themed as possible

My plans for the interior are just to put in a nice tan interior from a 4 door integra.

Happy looking!

If anyone is interested in buying, I will let it go for $5000, or trade for a decent 4 door integra with some mods or money on top.

trying to keep it clean. will eventually get fogs and a few other exterior things, but right now my focus is on the engine. Not sure what I want. And its gonna take a few months to save up to build it. Im not going to put a stock motor in my car. If I get anything it will have been torn apart and rebuilt.

haha, my tires are rubbing now, with fenders rolled! Once I get a set of 195/50's I will lower it some more. Right now though, its at a pretty functional ride height.

yeah... realized that as the first coat was going on. Im not feeling it either. But I do plan to fix that somehow.

I will be keeping it probably. Thats why I said $5000. But I would be open to a trade for an integra. Want to move on to another project.

B series is probably the direction I'm headed. Probably B16 to keep it as Ferio specific as possible. I dont want a ton of power, but enough to run around on. 11.5 compression and mild cams would be all I want in a B16.

The ride isnt much off from stock. They come pre loaded, so you just adjust height and you are good to go. Im as high as it will go in the rear, and the front is about 3/4 up. Ive got a lot of room to go lower if I wanted, I just have big *** tires.

Thank you sir!

Mainly looking good thanks to you though....

I need to still button a few small things up, but overall, the body transformation is complete. Hopefully in a few months we will be doing part 2 of the overhaul... the SWAP!

Until then we will need to get your hatch painted, and get a few more minor cosmetics on mine.

And we do need to fix the key hole in the trunk some how. Haha.

Then my "fun fund" will be tapped for a few weeks while I figure out what engine I want and what my power goals are.

But thanks for all the feedback guys... These 3 months have been long....

Thank you sir. Right now Im taking a break from the money spending. Im thinking I really like the idea of a B16 with about 11.5 compression, and decent cams. Dont want ridiculous power, but enough to make myself happy.

I looked but I couldnt find, what supplies did you use for the paintjob? Once you get 195's its time to pancake it btw.
