Default Billboards 'new Wagon; Ms Piggy

This is Ms. Piggy; i just bought her... She is smelly and filthy and a lil ugly...
She is a 1991 honda civic wagon; 5-speed, lowered on ebay coilovers.
Ms. Piggy enjoys Drinking Oil and Smoking occasionally... She came with
a nice Rack (oem- hard to find these days)....

I sold my other wagon with the intention of buying an element... but my
Credit was not as hot as i thought it was; There was a student loan that
i didnt know about for over a year; it was behind 13months... it cost a lot
to catch it up and get it off my credit history... hopefully my credit clears
up with in a year and can get an Element.

Until then- this is all i could afford... Lots of plans for Ms Piggy- mostly cleaning
her up a bit... and a few cheaper mods/wheels/lip-etc... Possible Single Stage
Paint...

Honda-Tech meet Ms Piggy....

Ha! Looks like fun.

I give it a month before you've got this one all bling'd up and balln' around town like your last one.

Best of luck. I'll be following ol' Mrs. Piggy's thread!

PS- DON"T be afraid of Maaco on that single stage. Do your prep. and it will come out GREAT for the price. Trust me. My wagon was a Maaco job, and I STILL love that decision. $325 out the door, "Superior" (their best) single-stage paint, no color-change fee, 3-day turn-around time. Not perfect, but you can't beat it for the time and money!

my brothers and i spent about 5 hours on her today; just cleaing her up...

there was an Intake on her that hit the battery; but so it didnt throw sparks there was a
rag blocking it from the battery terminals... i put the stock airfilter back on... sorry i didnt
snap pix, but i will...

also... took off the front bumper as it was sagging and not lining up well... Found out that
it didnt even have any bolts in the bumper support on the passenger side... Gave it a spray
with bumper coating... and fixed the hood- cause it was lining up like a bag of smashed
********....

BEFORE

AFTER

cleaned the interior with my moms shampoo vaccuum; this took forever... but the seats
were so haggard with stains... carpet came clean... Windex all the window cause there
was a weird film like fog on them... i didnt take very good pix..

installed clear corners (thanks Marc  )... although the wagon is a 91; both fenders and
headlights have been replaced at one time or another with 88-89... and line up fantastic... which
was also bad *** because i had the UKDM 88-89 clear corners lying around... o also the clear bumper
lenses Marc also sent me- he's bad ***...

gave the rear bumper a fresh coat of bumper restorer... o and threw my basketcase on...

sorry i didnt take any pix of actual work being done, but it was full on- and everyone
was working on something... it was fun... so much moar work to do, but off to a great
start... and more to come...

moar...

i had some Rt4wd rear mud flaps that were supposed to go on my last wagon, but i never
got around to putting them on... anyways pulled them out of storage...

raised my wagon up a lil bit while i was at it... just a lil bit so i wouldnt rub every
where.... Ebay coilovers were already on- awesomely bouncy ride...

o i also forgot- i snapped a pic of under the hood... it was already pretty amazingly
clean- i just put the stock airbox back in...

Damn, that bay is so fresh and so clean clean. It's already looking 100x better than it did when you got it. Can't imagine how awesome it'll end up being by the time you're ready to unload it.

Great progress man. Your kicking this one hard, keep it up! Wow, I too am amazed at just how clean the engine is. The paint looks fresh under there. Was it repainted at some point? I mean, Super Clean just DOESN'T do that, toothbrush, polish cloth, whatever, that's nuts!

That being said, are you going to go with another color? Have you thought of just sticking with the brown? With the bumpers painted to match and a nice little pinstripe of your usual creative variety, it could be quite nice. Keep the interior brown to match. Just a thought!

Looking forward to the rest of this one.

Also, thanks for posting the hatch-build link. Went through it last night. Told my wife on the way to lunch today about your thread actually. I was rolling near the last page, when that one dude chimed in about how you should post more pics of yourself!! It just TOTALLY came out of left field, particularly when your reading it at midnight and your tired as crap!!

when/if/ i do paint it- the bumpers will stay black and will just paint the outside- most
likely in a Kahki color... as close to Element Kahki i can get in a single stage paint...

And yeah that was random; i guess you never know who is gonna post in your thread...

there was about a 6 or 7 inch gash in the rear seat where the vinyl met the
cloth material... i sewed it up using the coolest lttle tool my dad had...

i have no idea what its called- but its really handy... and has extremely thick
thread.... you unscrew the back and there are a few deferent size needles
to choose from and a tool to tighten it up- kinda like a rota-zip...

*sorry photobucket f'd me (pix disapeared)

not the best sew job but better than seeing a chunk of yellow foam showing
through... and hardly noticeable once back in the wagon...

*sorry photobucket f'd me (pix disapeared)

lol thanks mang- much appreciated...

basically everywhere i wanna go has been closed since i purchased this car...
My sign shop that does my decals had a 3 day weekend- along with the junk
yards... and i havent been able to get a quoat on Single stage paint- cause
this town shuts down on holidays...

def a wink mirror (it crazy not having one- should be illegal) possible shave of
the driverside mirror... NJWagon and a few others have done this.... i have a
idea that may not go over so well with replacement mirrors... maybe do the
headliner, or not- i dunno...

i have a couple of new trix i wanna try on this wagon-
keep it tuned to this build...
