Default Ideas for Project Civic Come Alive

Now I want to come off saying please dont bag my ideas for mods and all that just because it's a sedan. I personally like the 4 doors and hope someday this will make other people like them too. So! Saying that here is a list of ideas that I have compiled including places to get them and prices. If you feel I may have missed something please feel free to throw the idea my way, i'll use it if you allow it and together we can get this average Honda into tip top shape.

To each their own...

You won't need an Intake system if you are installing a turbo kit. I'd say you are missing about $10,000 in key mechanical components and also what about labor?

Upgraded Axles, Clutch
Limited Slip
Brake upgrade (I'd suggest an 11.1" ITR kit at a minimum)
3-bar MAP
Wide band
Engine management
Full width radiator
Larger injectors
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Larger fuel pump
Rods
Pistons
Proper engine mounts - the GSR mounts will not work in an EK chassis
Suspension upgrades (shocks, springs, control arms, sway bars)

On the engine, I would also reccomend the following:
OEM Oil pump
OEM Water pump
Timing belt
Valve cover gasket set
#7 or #8 spark plugs
New Dizzy cap and rotor
Hondata IM gasket

Are you sure you know what you're getting yourself into?

x2

That will honestly make no one want to own a sedan. That is complete rice. I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, we all went through those stages. But to be completely honest, I don't think you will be doing even half that by yourself at this stage.

You need to slow waaaayy down. Do your research. Start by just simply giving the stock engine a tune-up, maybe some suspension mods, throw in a decent stereo if that's what you want. Then start thinking about a swap.

Then once you get your hands dirty and start really knowing what your doing, THEN you can start thinkin about upgrading and building that engine for boost or maybe a bad-*** N/A setup.

But for right now that's a dream list and quite a bit off budget. Cars are expensive.

13k for a civic that's going to be half assed looking. If your dream car, go buy one already modded like that, you'll save more.

First off I have a system and suspension already on the car. I have done engine swaps before (none on a honda, all on Ford) and already know what i'm doing. I'm currenty going to school for all this stuff. But I was thinking about dropping the boost for it and the nitrous would be for show, not actual use. But thanks for the positive imputs, and for the negative ones, try reading the first sentance.

And if you havn't realised yet, this is basically for show, not performance. If I wanted a REAL performance car I wouldn't put on body kits, custom trunk and all that un needed stuff. I just want the new engine and possible boost so I can beat the crap out of those ******** who think that cause im in a civic they have to try to race me. If I really wanted a performance car I wouldnt even spend the time or money on a honda, instead a rally ready WRX

Well that's where I call BS. I have personally owned a WRX. Nothing special. The engine is actually very limited. The stock boost is noting to brag about. Those engines need rebuilds once reaching the 300whp mark. Again nothing to brag about. The list reminds me of one I would have compiled when I was 16. You may have done swaps before but honestly do your research. That rice **** is overplayed and just plain lame. You will be getting attention sure, but behind your back everyone will be laughing.

why the hell would you spend $$$ on a car that will be "show car" and complete void the point of having a valid nice car to cruise around in.

Plenty of guys have about 10k in their cars on this site and will make people do triple takes. Sometimes the simplst of cars are the ones that stand out the most.
