Realtime Racing...Old vs New: ITR VS TSX/RSX
There is no doubt the TSX is a better car but many things have changed in the series with the rules so its really not a fair comparison at all. Not to mention my budget is a joke compared to Realtime's...
Looks like I will be running my ITR at Sebring this year in World Challenge. I run a built K20A so we will se how I do against the TSX's witht he new rules. I ran a race last year and got smoked pretty good but this year the rules will help me become a bit more competitive.
March 20th i believe.
the pic says it all of realtime's fleet in the background and your car on 2 jack stands with like maybe 3 people working on it. its in the back of sportscar last month.
). One is at the body shop and the other is being finshed up in the shop. Today i started work on the splitter design and fitted the carbon trunk.
Are you still going to run the old cars? how many total at sebring? Are the old TSX or RSX for sale?
I look forward to seeing the 09 TSX on the track and how it performs.
RTR UPDATE: The older TSX's (CL9) are almost done, just a few odd's and end's. One will be at the chicago auto show in the Acura booth. The CU2's are comeing along. One is at paint and the other is getting all the plummed.
Also, did Mike Tolle do some fab work on the TSX's? He did the cage in my DC2. good work!
Interesting...care to elaborate?? Maybe some pics?
I wonder how the old ITRs would do with tire wear, given the same tires as today. The cars were lighter and the TSXs have to run a ton of static camber, eh? The old double wishbones didn't have to run nearly that much. Would that make them more stable also or does the TSX downforce make up for that?
No, were not running the new K24, its completely different than before. Yes Tolle did a lot of welding work on the new cars.
excited to see rtr this year...for sure at laguna but hopefully at lbc, not sure if wc is gonna be there though didn't check the schedules yet for the year
