How do you open the trunk on your 92-95 hatch?
Maybe its just me but after I pull the handle thing next to the seat and the back window unlocks and go to the back of the car and try to open the trunk glass, I have to hold on the wiper to pull the window up. Now this sucks because 1) I don't want to break anything even though it doesn't take much force and 2) because when it snows and it melts, water gets trapped in between the body and the seal so that becomes very sticky ice and its all around the glass so its pretty much glued in there with ice lol.
I wonder what CX,DX and VX owners do since they dont have a wiper blade? Especially with the "delete" caps. Now that I think about it is it supposed to automatically raise up? I have an aftermarket duckbill so it probably weighs more than the stock one that it was intended for. Maybe I need to spray some WD-40 in there?

good point... i always just grab the base of the wiper and pull it slightly enough to get my fingers under the weatherseal right under the wiper assembly and lift the glass that way, maybe theres some mad tight jdm part that we dont kno about for this issue haha... or someone possibly installed some baller mercedes contraption that opens/closes automatically lol...
I either use the keyhole in the back or pop it from the front. I just lift the glass from the bottom edge.
My car is a CX with a stock duck bill, by the way. And I don't think that the window is supposed to automatically open. When I push the glass down, it takes a little more to push it down, then it almost pulls shut and it stays shut on it's own, even while it's not latched. If you wanted, I'm sure the gas struts for the window could be relocated so that they constantly push on the window and would open it when you pop the latch. Or I know some alarm/remote start deals have the ability to trip door locks and such, and I bet you could wire a door lock actuator up to pop the latch and push the window open. This would be overkill, but I ripped the lift system off a convertible a few years ago and I'm sure that could open the window. It's a motor with a hydraulic pump, lines and two rams.

I pop the window from inside then shut the door and it usually pops the window out from the force of air from the door shutting just enough to get my fingers behind it.
omg... this is retarded.
- i grab mine from under the glass.
why spend money on a stupid *** hook when you can just do that. you are not going to break anything.

lmao... i just clicked that ebay link, buy it now, confirm, typed my paypal and click confirm again in like 18 seconds haha... than went back and peeped what i just bought, and now that i think about what i just did, i feel satisfied
well parking poles are ghey but some people like them.. foglights are ghey, but again some people like them... just as this little hook may be ghey to some, i think its an awesome idea however...
foglights are nice because they help you see better and help other people see you better. safety first mang!
but this hook is pretty gay, i would rather just find something similar at home depot for like $2. its just over priced garbage.
My car came with the little hook thingy and I think it's really convenient, it just sucks when you wake up to all the water on your rear window in the morning and you can't see out through the back lol

The part is listed in the US and overseas catalogs.
90108-SR3-900
In the US it's listed as being for '94-'95 Civic CX, DX, Si and VX hatches.
List price is about $16.73. Buy It Now on that auction is $30 (plus shipping).
Here it is listed again:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-...3A1|240%3A1318
The highest bid there right now is about $20.
Companies seem to do this all the time. There are quite a few parts out there that many people think are JDM or overseas only, but it actually is sold in the US by Honda and came as a part on some cars standard or optional.
www.HondaPartsCheap.com has the hook for $12.05
You know, just saying.
Majestic honda (HondaAutomotiveParts.com) has it for $11.71

i have a cx (No Wiper) ive always just been able to grab the bottom corner where the weather stripping stuff is that goes around the window and lift it up. even when its icy i never had a problem with it
Same here, but since I have to order a few little things, and a freaking headliner from one of those Honda sites, I think I'll just get one of the hooks, just because.
I didn't go from site to site checking prices for you all. They're easy enough to find. I even have a thread listing as many sites like that. I only listed the list price to give you an idea that the eBay seller is ripping you off. You can even get it cheaper at your local Honda dealership.

Part 14 :-)

) is not a bad idea.
