How do i go lower?
lol your flaps are on the ground! Thats so awesome. I got rear flaps right now and i cant find any fronts, Im pissed my car didnt come with em. I dig your ride, lowered with flaps is the ****!
Sick dude...what size tires? urs looks like same height...those si's are clean as hell...i need fog lights lol yea thats sick dude way clean
well to go any lower youll loose your MAX turning ability! to prevent crushing your fenders and if you have access to a welder just weld on some hardened nuts and use some hardened bolts threaded into it as a BUMP STOP.... that way you can slightly adjust it to go just about to touch the fenders but not quite touch it!
thats what i plan on doing when i swap suspensions from my 99 to my 96. i love it low!
this is how low it can go very easily...
tho the fronts are riding on the bump stops and inner liners are still in the car. so id have to do some modifying to drive that low infront.LOL

and this is how low i have it set to drive daily...

i now have mudflaps on it and had to cut the fronts with a razor blade so that when i drive forwards they wouldnt act like a shovel and try to be rip themselves off
i want to get some oem SI wheels for my 96dx. tho getting some money back from my nice 17s will be tuff..... maybe next year around tax time they will be easier to sell localy.
i love them BUT for being slammed i want to have more sidewall tire....

You made me put the Si rims back on my ride! Here's a snappy...
'99 Si rims - OEM lugs/locks - 195/55-15 ZE-512 - 1.75" front - 1.5" rear - 4" clearance

This is a DD - wouldn't want to go any lower...

195/55-15 Falken ZE-512s ride like a Caddy (smooth & quiet) if you put enough air in them - I run 50psi - good rolling resistance too for hypermiling! At normal pressures they *feel* mushy, IMHO.

...and that's no joke! I'll bet they haven't taken back many ZE-512s because of poor ride quality.
On the other hard, I prefer 185/65-14 Pirelli Cinturato tires on lightweight HX rims - very accurate & unforgiving - make my ride *feel* like a go-kart. Just don't take your eyes off the road for too long or you'll be into the median!

Short history of Pirelli Cinturato: http://www.longstonetires.com/...o.php
The Pirelli Cinturato, first introduced in the 1950's, was the first example of a textile cord braced radial tire. The Pirelli Cinturato quickly became the dominant radial tire in European GT and sports car racing circles.
The Pirelli Cinturato combined unprecedented grip with high-speed capabilities, the Cinturato also gave a supremely comfortable ride. Not surprisingly, the Pirelli Cinturato soon became standard equipment on many of the great Italian marques of the era, including Ferrari, Maserati, and Lamborghini.
Sooo... it all depends on what you want...

I got a ej and i am tuckin all the tire in the front and back. All i did was roll the fenders, and trimmed the small tab thats inside the front wheel well. I have 195-55-15. I only scrub when i am makin sharp turns.
my DC is slammed on work equip knocks with offset ET 10 lol on some streched 195 50's i just pulled my fenders, and rolled them as much as possiable with a baseball bat and removed inner fenderwells and running -4 degree camber all around . looks sick though

daily driving height on the ET10 offset

dumped on the ET10's at -4degree camber and pulled and rolled fenders

my boy dj's EF dumped so hard the front mud flaps are rubbed in half
rite now iam tucking tire just showed the pic above to show the off set and the rolled and pulled fenders

What do you think i should air my tire's up to??
195-50-15
For best gas milege and smooth ride?
about 5 psi lower the the max psi rating on the side of the tire always works for me thats def not a good psi if u plan on cone killing or doing tqistys or str8 line of coarse but haveing fully inflatted tires does help gas milage and will help the ride quality just shoot for what i run between 5 and 8 psi lower then max rating works perfect for me on and thats on streched tires which are 195/50 Bfg Kdw's on a 7.5 inch rims

Not many Honda's can pull of that look, but props to you for doing so
thanks. i do love those wheels... took me a year to find them and buy them
but id like to get some SI wheels so i can have a more comfortable ride....
but if i cannt get 700bucks for the wheels i wont sell them. i spent like 1200bucks on them and babied them since day one. and they are not even that old or show any wear.
ill keep em before i take any less..... heck ill keep em for just car shows.....
i do plan on painting my 96dx this winter, a gunmetal color that should match my 17s close enough....
my project 96dx. 99-00front end swap. (bought the car wrecked infront. so the front end update cost just as much
)
and yes it wants dropped
i recovered this wreck from a ricer [racial pejorative] ditch.... tow yard sale after wrecked and never picked up after 30days.
sucks for them good for me!

either way i wont be able to buy the SI wheels till tax check time.
im buying them brand new.... im a bit of a cosmetic freak and all used ones i see are curbed.

Yeah, I agree... sort of...

The Falken ZE-512s say 51psi max on the sidewalls, so 46psi is okay.
The Pirelli Cinturatos say 44psi max and 39psi sucks! I pump them up to 50psi anyway.
Heh!
BTW, that's one of the 'secrets' of getting good FE with a B16...
its honda-tech whatd ya expect lol also added 2 picks of my dc on lowoffset wheels and my boys ef which is stupid dumped go up a few posts to my first post on this thread on page 2 for the pics

...lol
...lol
bring em on it dont hurt i dont mind lol . my white dc i posted up a few posts up i wasnt dumped in that pic either but the tire shot shows its dumped now lol
I would never personally sacrifice "tire" for "look." factory is 195/55/15, I perfer 205/50/15's.
And I don't know who the hell recommends running 50psi of air on a passenger car. that's freakin ridiculous. not really sure how SAFE that is either. Most tire manufacturers don't recommend going past 35psi. Some truck and offroad tires can go way higher, but they have a higher ply rating and is set up to run heavier loads and what not. I don't know of any passenger tire to have a high enough ply rating to require 50psi. That would make it ride like a brick and handle even worst. This is just my opinion and I sell tires for a living.

not sure i know all my tires are rated at low 40's for max . ud have to ask him what tires say 51 psi max
thats not what this thread s about anyway .... so.
