Would it be hard to do this install with the motor in the car already? I'm sure it was much easier for you with the open engine bay, but is this a hard install?
350 shipped. and i dont think it would be too hard with the motor in, if you have the hasport kit it would be simple. i took me like 15 min to install. with air tools of course.
I know it says for b-series swaps.. is there anyway to get it to work with a d-series engine? i'm going to be running a build turbo ZC(had the engine for like 3 years, so I might as well use it).. anyone know? Thanks..
theres no need to remove it, just dont attach a mount, it completely clears D and B series motors, i just left mine as is. I got a gray powder coated one, its niiiice. strong'r 'n' ****. I know cuz i broke it
it saved the control arms from breakin though. its awsome.
As for "engine out of car" ITS GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ENGINE!!
1. detatch the front motor mount from your D series stock engine.
2. loosen/detatch your radius arms
3. unbolt the crossmember, drop it down.
You're under the car no matter what, the engine NEVER gets in your way.
4. attach crossmember, attach radius arms and adjust accordingly.
with the radius arms, you're alignments going to be FUCKED, unless you know how to align it yourself.
How to align it yourself? (toe in/out)
take a bar, straight, metal. as long as the wheel base of your CRX.
Place it against the front (forward most point) of the front wheels. (yeah you'll need 2 guys to hold it perfectly steady)
Make marks on the bar where the center of the tire is.
(use a certain straight treadline on the tire to match on the other side)
Now match this to the back (most rear point) of the same tire.
Adjust the radius arms until these 2 points match.

just wondering if you can adjust preload with the Jimfab like you can with the Z10 crossmember. it looks like you can from the pic.
not nearly as convenient as the Z10s.

I thought toe was adjusted using the steering tie rods. The radius rods would affect toe, but very very very slightly...they seem to affect caster more than anything.
