1996 Honda Civic 3DR Midori Green SAVANNAH GEORGIA
I drove two hours each way to go check it out and there were several things wrong with it that could have really saved me the trip. Obvious things like a check engine light, SRS light, engine w/ caked on oil (when I was told there was no leaking), and a handful of other smaller things.

The Check Engine Light is an O2 Sensor which is no big deal. As far as the SRS light and the oil you can't expect much more for a $2500 car that is 12 years old. Has been my DD for almost 2 years and my dad's for 10 years. Still runs and definately driveable. I apologize if you didn't know that 12 year old car for $2500 would have some minor problems.

It's not like I didn't ask you prior to making the trip either. And don't make it sound like I just assumed...because I DID ask. Simple rules of selling a car... Glad it's not a big deal to you since you're not the one wasting your time as you're having your dad sell it for you.
Oh, and don't drive over too many little bumps or close the hood too hard...the wipers will turn on by themselves. Oh joy!
All I'm saying is know what you're selling before selling it. Why hide things? My wife and I wasted a day of driving and a tank of gas to go test drive something that had plenty of obvious things wrong with it, that could of saved me the time if you were just honest.
Could be a good deal for someone close, but just make sure if you're taking a drive to check it out, there will be some surprises!

No excuse for not listing the problems.

Nothing is hidden, if you want to come see a 12 year old car come take a look at it. You decide if you want it or not. As far as not telling you what was wrong with the car I told you the check engine light was on and that I had not had problems with the car. That is the truth.

People don't want to drive hundreds of miles / take time away from their day to discover problems that could of easily been posted to begin with.
That is fine if you are not having problems with the car. But, not to disclose a CEL, SRS light, oil on the motor is wrong. You even state no oil leak on the original post yet the motor is said to be caked with oil.
Update the thread so people know the truth about this car.
Don't try and throw, "If you want to see a 12 year old car bull$hit in this..."
I have a 13 year old car that is cleaner than 99.99% 1 year old cars. If the car was maintained it wouldn't have the problems with the caked on oil, CEL & SRS light
I still may be interested in buying it though

Trade your 12 year old car with a SRS light plus cash for my 95 mustang GT convertible GT 5 speed with a SRS light?
