I am using REV springs and retainers. I am using the high-lift springs. These are the same springs and retainers that have been in the head and have been used with several other sets of cams.

dude, with jun3 cams, your LMA's are getting maxed out. don't worr about ticking noises. it's normal for these, or at least in my experiences in the past. they make WAY more noise than toda spec A's.

How is the cam lube making it into your combustion chambers to smoke?

yeah good point. If the lube is getting in the oil is too so we will just see going to do a compression test on it now.

ok so its 270,270,270,270. Not even a 5 psi difference in any cylinder.

Could it be my LMA's getting bottemed out? Its funny because last night i was looking at it again and listening and it doesnt necessarilly sound like any particular valve, but more like alot of chattering from something... its just VERY loud.

on a side note these cams gave me higher static compression than the crane II's I had in before. The cranes had more aggressive primaries I was netting 260 across before i pulled them. Now im 10 psi higher.

Could it still be a valve with that kinda commpression? I didnt really see how it could have ben a valve before but now i really cant pin point the noise. This isnt the first time Ive messed with JuN III's and i dont ever remember them being close to this loud.

Yeah im not sure what the issue is right now I have been sick with the flu and now working 2 12 hour days.!! No time to work on it. I dont believe its the cams, maybe installer error as of right now. I am going to take them out and see if i did something wrong. I dont see what but maybe i could have.

If i dont see anything wrong im gonna toss in the OEMs and see if the noise is still occuring. If so its off for a leakdown test to see whats going on here.

Been busy as hell. Been trying to find a place to take it becuase i normally do everyhting myself but dont have the time and I have a hard time trusting shops with my car.

Think im gonna take it to a place tomm though for some diagnostic help, then prolly yank the head myself and take it to the machine shop if thats what it needs.

I think it would be a great idea to build reputare is to A. UGR to bring some cams to a DYNO day and find a few people to test them on their cars and see if they produce good numbers. or B Do a trial basis set and lend them to an accredited H-T memebr who can test them and give a full detailed review. If the H-T is willing to have UGR take theit CC# incase the memebr does not return the cams.

Before i say what i have to say, let me just say that i HATE people who can just copy other peoples stuff and make a big profit on it. I am an idealist in that way, and before you say anything i dont run ANY copied shii on my car. For example i liked how the new mugen shift **** so instead of buying a cheap copy off eBAY i forked up 90 bux for the real thing. However, this situation is even more extreme, skunk2, JUN, Toda etc. all spend thousands of dollars on R&D and then someone comes in and just copies it and makes a profit. This, to me seems very wrong, and my problem is that the only people i can really blame are the original cam companys for not getting some patents. nevertheless, what these copycats are doing is wrong. NOW what i really wanted to say is that Honda-Tech is full of idealists, such as myself who believe that stealing, copying, and making a profit off someone elses work is wrong, yet other than a select few everyone here wants to know how these cams'll do. I personally dont give a flying expletive if these cams do just as well as the originals, in fact that would upset me even more. This is stealing and stealing is wrong, that is the bottom line.

everyone that profits off other peoples work

If you guys even knew half the story behind ugr and where they are getting the stuff they sell. Lets just say that Dave Hsu(skunk) has something to do with it. Cams are not copy's, cams come from the same factory.
