Just think with a stock Type R you could be running low 12's with your skill.
LOL thats funny, but to tell you the truth, I run around thesame time as most type r owners locally, except they always pull a higher trap speed than me, meaning they are lighter and producing more horsepower. My best trap is 96 mph, but that was with a test pipe in place of a stock cat. Since then I put the stock cat back on.
BYT, CLM Racing and my crew are all going to e-town weds, I believe weather permitting, if you want to roll down, shoot me an e-mail. Next time we get a dyno day going, you are welcome to come. This place is not public and doesn't really have a name, but we are really good friends with the owner of the shop, its a muscle car place up rt.80 by pa.

hey evil, do you have a certain launch technique? There is a group of domestic punks in a Camaro SS club that love to pick on imports My friend is making 185 whp in his 92Si and beat one of them last night. But when I raced the same guy he pulled on me by like 6 car lengths, even though I am making 235whp with my crvtec. Either I launch too high and spin or launch too low and bog...I don't get it

But it was fun, with a/f and everything I paid $75 for 12 runs. Not bad if you ask me.

Yeah, I know that crv got lots of torque. What size tire are you using? What are your suspensin mods? SS's are quick but you can launch the **** out of a light hatchback. I got a buddy that runs 12.4 all motor. He takes AWD talons out the whole just because of the way his car is setup. Let me know the details, maybe I can help.

for the non believers... yes, evil does run those stated times. yes, evil does know his honda's well. ****, he got a turbo ls to run 11.7 in the quarter. he researches everything very well before he buys. guys, the power is just being put down to the ground the right way, that's it.

most people modify their cars, but forget about suspension and traction. then they wonder: "hmmm, why is my car running ridiculous times, when i have more power then the other guy and he's running better times?"

ps: 60 foot makes a difference, big difference!!!!!

I am running on 14'' blackies with 195/60 Azenis tires. I have 1000 lb ground controls in the front and 850lb in the rear on Illumina 5 way shocks. I should be much faster, especially considering that my 97 hatch is fully gutted

How long have you had that suspension? Those springs will absolutely kill those shocks. Even Konis wouldn't last under those rates unless you had custom valving done.

Thanks GSRacer for the compliment. It should be S2KRACER240 now.
I would use 1000 lb springs in the rear of the car for drag racing only. In the front I would not go higher than 700 lb's.

Hey Evil, is that on street tires? I cant get anything better than a 2.3 60 ft time. I'm gonna try again tonight, its gonna be colder out. I've been out once this year with my AEM cold air intake. I want to get some better times than what I've got now. What do you launch at? How are the track conditions? How do you get such great 60' times????? Oh well, I see what I need to beat in order to mod more. Those are some hellacious times.

I saw the orginal video way back on SHO where you have slicks and pull a 14.2 or so, beating out the domestic that you were racing. Do you still have that video?

Holy chit! Your spine must've been compressed by an inch or more riding around on those...

Here is a video I have with stock type r exhaust, and I have my back seats removed. About 95 degrees outside and about 80% humidity. This run is done on 14 inch mickey slicks, that I have sold. Unfotunatly, this is the only video I have right now. My friend might lend me some bogarts or I might borrow some lenso's from my other friend for some upcomin runs.

The domestic I raced was fast. I talked to the owner of the car afterwards and he was shootin 100 direct port in that v8. He was plannin to run all motor that run, but he saw the way I took off on him and he shot it top end. If you pay attention closely, he reels me in top end on the bottle.

Low 14's at over 100 mph is a good run. Considering the fact you had 17's, full leather, tv, play station, and all your stuff in the trunk. If you had slicks that **** would of been goin mid to low 13's easy.
