c3 = gsr motor. its a block that honda released as a crate motor in japan. theres a c6 in newzealand thats a gsr. theres a c2 in aus. thats a gsr. i believe there was a b18c4 released in some other country too... but not really sure.

b18c3 is rare and has a certain bling status.

I heard this as well, but it's a replacement motor for the Asian domestic market

I don't know where you got this info from, but the only one you posted that was right in here was the 3rd one that I quoted you on. Although I THINK you may have meant to say that the B18C was the HONDA Integra Type R.....NOT Acura. I have YET to see a JDM motor with a numeric value AFTER the last alpha numeric position on the block code ( meaning...only the US had B18C5...japan didn't ).

Sorry to bring this post up agian but if anyone see's this please shime in, I own a b18-c3 and I did some checks to see what the motor is all about, yes it comes with a p72 head. Heres the funny thing, I have LSD tranny with a 4.4 Gear (typical becuase some jdm gsr's come with lsd optional) but when I did a compression check, all the cylinders shot up to around 271-280 range, which reads unusually high for a standard 10.+ compression ratio motor, and I also checked it with another compression meter and it read the same...can it be a TYPE-R motor? I think it was used as a gimic to sell the cars in europe labeling them Type-R.
