Default CEL #7 After flood

I got a CEL # 7 today after I started my car, I know it is the TPS sensor. Is it true that you have to buy an entire new TB or could I just get the sensor?

I've heard of people slotting their tps sensor rivets and taking it off. I am not sure if you can buy a brand new one (sensor only), but a local yard should have one. Any b series should work. Also, i think you have to re-calibrate it using a multimeter to get it set right. Anyone back me up?

you can get a new sensor. i think honda sells them for like 35 bucks. just slot the rivet things and unscrew them. then yes you will have to recalibrate it with a multimeter. by the way did the car idle fine after you little water incident

Well the CEL stopped going off today. I am not really sure why. Maybe there was still some water in the sensor yesterday.

You won't be able to purchase a new TPS from Honda...only a MAP sensor can be purchased. Any B or D series TPS will work. Use an oHm meter to set the TPS back into its proper position.
