Default A little Ebay help please??

Ok today i bid on a VAFC II and won.. Got it for 275. Now i thought i would be able to pick it up because the guy lives about 5-10 mins. So once i won i gave the guy my number and he called me saying that i cant come pick it up beause he will lose his license of something i think he said business license, so he will have to ship it. I got ripped off before and i'm kind of scared that i will get ripped off again. Is there anything i should be aware of incase this guy tries to rob me?? like if he does, can i file some kind of complaint with paypal or ebay and get my money back?? heres a link of the item i won.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...34534

Well I would get the address for the shop before I made payment. If he really IS 5-10 mins away from you, then you can personally pay him a visit. Judging by the auction, it looks like he has pretty good feedback.

Your best bet is to ask him one more time and if he is really that butt hurt just give him your address and tell him just to drop it in the mail or something on his way home from work to save the shipping costs. if he tries to screw you over then just grab some heat and drop buy his shop.

just make sure if you pay via paypal you use it with your credit card not bank account. you will get screwed if its doen thru bank. credit card you file a complaint with your credit card company and they go after paypal. works everytime!!! if not tell him cod and you paypal him 10.00 for shipping so he knows you wont flake. thats the only 100% safe way and you lose only 10.00 if he rips you.

Seems like the seller has a great record. He is a member since 2000 with 300+ feedback. I wouldn't be concerned about sending him money.

haha yea i guess you guys are right.. he seemed like a cool guy when he called me. He even said just make it 280 and i'll send it instead of 290. I guess he does overcharge for shipping not sure... but aiight well i got one more question.

He gave the option for me to pay in credit card on the "Pay now" option.. it says paypal, money order, or credit card.. so should i pay with credit card? wont it charge me an extra like 5% or something if i use credit card?? gawd i'm so new at this ebay thing as you can tell heh..thanks you guys..
