Are the mounts and linkage new? Does the mount kit include 3 or 4 mounts? Will you consider offers for the mounts and/or linkage? Tell me about the differences between the HCP, Hasport, and Place Racing mounts. I am a newbie, of sorts. email is fine.
Thank you and Merry Christmas.

The HCP kits are all brand new and direct from the factory, I am a distributor. All of the mount kits consist of 3 mounts with the exception of the 96-00 Civic H series which includes a front brace. In one way or another I have sold all three of the above mentioned brands but IMO there is no better value for the money than HCP. I don't like the Place Racing mounts because they position the motor too forward which affects weight distribution and handling, I have also witnessed a place racing equipped CRX crack two of its mounts driving over a small pothole. Hasport has gotten better but positions the motor too far back, and for a mount kit costs far too much money for what it is. HCP positions the motor in the factory location, uses all of the same materials and welding technology of Hasport but comes with a Lifetime Warranty and costs signifigantly less. The HCP kits are built so well that out of the 150+ kits I have sold I have never heard of 1 complaint!

Just curious, but why do you sell just 3 mounts?

I was wondering the same thing. The EF-18X HCP kit comes with 4 mounts.

The kits come with 4 mounts. After selling them for 6 months for $380 4 mounts, many people did not need the 4th front mount. By only selling 3 mounts I am able to offer them for $350. I can sell the 4th mount but with only 3 (the ones you need) I am able to sell them for this price $350 instead of $380. Finally I want to ad, if I wanted to make money I would not be selling mounts, I am making basically nothing on selling them. If you don't believe me look at the retail price, and look at what I am giving them to you for

What is the deal with everyone claiming that their mounts put the engine in a different place than the competition and that the competition is wrong. I have the literature from Place Racing and it claims that they put the engine where honda intended it to be. They do not specifically name any other manufacturs in their literature, but they say "some" of the competition "arbitrarily" place the engine. Who is lying? I do not want to start any finger pointing. What I would like to see is some documentation that proves that one or other is correct. It appears as though the known or accepted manufacturers are HCP, Hasport, and Place Racing. However, I would not like to limit this conversation to those three. Open up the gates and let them all in. If I am going to cough up nearly half of the price of the used engine, transmission, and ECU needed for the swap, I want to get the best mounts that I can get. I do not want to offend anyone, but $100 cheaper for inferior mounts is a bad investment. Don't get me wrong, a hundred bucks is a hundred bucks, but cheaper is only a value if you are getting an equal product or if the product is sufficient and the price variation is equitable. I also question paying good money for a mount kit, then have to hack up my engine bay, anyway. If I wanted to hack up the engine bay, I would buy one with JDM mounts and make them work. Everything that I have heard and read says that the front mount modification is similar to that of the HCP. The remainder requires drilling different holes in your stock "pockets" or frame mounts. Let's hear it people. Give us the facts, but just the facts. We don't need any rhetoric. Lay it on me, brothers.
Thank you,
Steve

Ok you asked for my oppinion and I gave it to you. It is not finger poitning when I say the Place Racing mounts cracked and put the B16 at such a screwy angle the VTEC couldn't even engage in a crx, this is fact. When I say Hasport is overpriced, it is go look at there prices (fact). I can tell you and guarantee that HCP is the best mount kit on the market, other than that I don't know what to say. Would you expect place racing to say "our mounts suck" or Hasport to say "we are overpriced"? of course not! Whatever mount kit you decide on make sure it has Polyurethane bushings and is tig welded from reinforced steel and comes with a good warranty. After that my friend it comes down to preference. The only picture I have at this time is of the 96-00 H series kit, look closely at how perfect the H22 sits in the engine bay, the B series HCP kit is no exception

Hey Ben,
You are right. I asked a question and you gave an answer. I apologize. I should have placed this topic elsewhere and not on your posting. The above responses got me off track. It was late and I was tired. I was hoping for some geometry on the engine location, but I should have asked you via email or posted the topic in the tech area. Again, a thousand apologies and good luck. I have heard elsewhere that HCP and Hasport place the engine in the same place. I can certainly see using just three HCP versus 3 Hasport to save the money. I understand that Hasport uses aluminum to save weight. How much do these things weigh anyway? How many of us actually hit the track completitively? I plan to go with the HCP mounts, myself. Your information helped me decide. Thanks, for your time and sorry for pissing you off. That was not my intention.
See Ya,
Steve

After spending $300 + on something as important as an engime mount kit I fully understand your concerns, plain and simple you don't want crap. I would be doing the same thing if the tables were turned, so here on me Anyway the HCP kit is heavier but only by about 2lb, HCP uses forged steel

As per your website it states that the 4 mount kit costs $485 w/linkage. And you posted on the board $375 w/linkage. How much will it cost for the complete set (4 mounts and linkage) for my ef8 shipped to honoulul hawaii 96797 ? I am really in need for some mount kits.

E-mail me dude!
