BTW, you do realize the overall deck height is lower on the B16 and the B18B crank+rods will cause the piston to be "out of the hole" and hit the head.....just fyi.

What all am I confirming? The fact that the stroke+rod length is greater then the overall deck height of the B16 or simply that the B18 has a taller deck height then the B16. The B16B (CTR engine) is the only B16 that has the same deck height as the B18, the "normal B16A" is shorter. Go to http://www.c-speedracing.com and under the how-tos, and then compression calculator will also "prove" this.

I checked your link
it shows the b16a/b as the same block
as fot he difference in deck height
the difference is 0.01 of an inch
which can easily be made up with a thicker head gasket
the increse in stroke is only minimal
but enough to increse displacement to 1.8 litres

Bro, you cant run that setup as a stroker kit in a B16. THe only way you can run a stroker kit in a B series is an B18B LS crank and rod in a B18C1 block. Other wise its just impossible. If you knew what you were talking about you would have said B18 crank, rods, and pistons for sale!
its easy to say that wont work
what the crank wont bolt in
then the pistons wont fit in the bore
the rods wont work either
and then i used a stock head gasket?
tell me exactly why this wont work

Im sure some one can explain this too

I dont see LS internals in a B16 block anywhere. If I recall stock stroker build is a B17 crank with cant remember what rods. I dont think anyone is trying to be asses here but thats not a stroker kit and an LS bottom end should only go for maybe $100 bucks. Hell I can get one at the local junkyard for $60

it will not work. the b16a has a 7mm shorter deck height then all other b-series blocks. you could use a b16b block, but not a b16a. and yes, this is fact.
