Functionally, that isn't so far off, actually. On a Tiga Sports 2000 that I used to take care of, the nose section of the body had a glassfibre splitter that was a separate "sacrificial" piece, allowing us to run the front end lower. The splitter would wear out and replacements cost a tiny fraction of what a new nose would have...

This kit probably provides this function to a far greater degree on the average Altima or Saturn than it does providing any meaningful handling improvement!

Ya I see the function of it in a racecar, but it just seemed silly to get a $300 splitter for teh purpose of
quote: It protects your front bumper when climbing or going down steep driveways

it seemed kinda funny.

That's ebay for you.... where anyone can pair a hacked up piece of aluminum from Home Depot with a brand name connector and make $150 profit.

Hey, the whole thing is dumb but the skid-plate function is LESS dumb than any of the other claimed benefits

I think the first function is the correct one and the other 2 are bogus and meant to appeal to the fast and the furious generation.

He had this pic forthe carbon fiber splitter he ws selling

Duh, N24RE. That roof scoop creats lift to counteract the down force from the splitter/spoiler combo. Jeez...

Next thing you know, you'll be acting all surprised when you find out rear diffusers are for protecting your rear bumper from those concrete parking lot dividers when backing into parking spaces.

Giant spoilers help when parallel parking.

I really like the fact that he wants $235 shipped for:

- 1 pair OMP Light Steady Bars: $25
- 1 cut piece of aluminum sheet: $8 at Home Depot

I guess you are paying the other $202 for his mad cutting skillz . . .

Is that the car from Fast and Furious? The one with "two bottles...big ones" installed? That thing's fast.

Yeah, only someone dug them up and put them into a car. Not bolted, I mean literally, just sitting in place.

Stylin yo!
