Ive searched and searched
I had a post in the civic section which got me nowhere so im asking you guys.
I got a 92 Civic Hatch
Swapped B series
Koni Yellows with 450lb springs (not even a year old, 1 track day on them)
xp8 pads
Front right wheel bearing going bad (I assume this because if i kick the wheel hard it giggles a tiny bit)
Now see if you can figure this out..
Whenever going slow over rough roads, stabbing my brakes at slow speeds or stopped, or shifting without slipping the clutch at low speeds i hear a CLUNK!!..you can feel it in the steering wheel..you can hear it outside the car..
Ive checked every mount and mount bolt (motor doesnt really move much)
steering rack bolts
tried shaking everything
tore apart both knuckles and put everything back torqued to spec
checked both axles
Im stumped and now worried my konis may be shot or something
anyone got any idea?? could that wheel bearing becausing this??
thanks

Possibly.
Do you have a front swaybar? Bad endlinks and bushings love to make clunking noise.

Check the bolt where the lca bolts to the subframe. I'm not sure exactly how it is on the eg's (bolt and nut orientation), but my 99 coupe had the nut inside the subframe break off (its a factory welded nut). It then wiggled itself loose enough that I could hear a clunk at low speeds, etc like you are describing.
I had to dremel a small hole and wedge a screwdriver in there to secure the nut as i tightened the bolt back down. Clunk went away.
You might try looking there.

Do you have a front camber kit? I managed to put enough wear on my Ingalls kit that it moved a bit and would make a loud clunk. It started right after I was forced to take my Integra on a pretty horrible dirt road when the highway I was on was shutdown and evacuated. It went on for a while and got worse over time, and I figured it was a ball joint, but then I noticed that it was from the camber kit sliding forward and back. I made my own bushings with some rubber, crammed them in there, and the problem went away.
