Default STS2 chassis setup ????.......

Just curious if anyone has tried running no front sway bar as opposed to stock/HF front sway bar on a well prepped CRX for STS2 solo competition?? I've been meaning to try it but haven't gotten around to do it yet and just wanted to get a general concensus if anyone else had tried this with any success or failure....

Glagola, have you tried this??? Anyone else?....

Slaloms become increasingly hairy as you go more and more loose with the setup - in other words, you have to trade some steady-state rotation for transitional stability. I've found that running no front bar at autocrosses makes transitional elements a bit too difficult, so you end up slowing down a bit to get through them safely.

All you have to do is disconnect the bar for one event to try it out. No one but you can determine whether you'll prefer it or not.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I already know what to expect out of the car with the front bar disconnected...I just thought I might ask one of the other STS2 guys if they had any experiences with it also. I'm currently running the Si front bar and the car transitions pretty well it just seems pretty numb on turn in and you really have to lead the car in transitions. I guess you could say (very lazy turn in) I've set front toe to 1/8th in. toe out. I'm wondering if trying front toe at 1/4" toe out may help a bit. It's either that, or setting the rear bar a tad stiffer. I'm at full soft with the ST rear bar. Car feels great mid corner though and is very predictable in transitions. I just don't like having to lead the car so much. I would just like to have it respond sooner to inputs!!!

It also doesn't help that I believe the tires are starting to heat cycle out thus becoming less responsive. I was really starting to make up ground on the current GS National Champion (who runs in my region) as I've been developing the car but find myself starting to lose a little ground now as the season has wore on, the only thing that has really changed for me is that I'm still on the same set of Falkens (full tread-horrible mistake) that I started the season on and I have a co-driver as well as ladies class driver driving on the same tires as well. I think the tires are starting to give up a bit, I'm just trying to get on a new set of Bridgestones soon before I start making anymore changes to the car and see if this helps my cause
