Spring Rates
Carl, I'm sorry. I don't intend to make an example of you, but PLEASE DO A SEARCH. The other day there were 5 - count 'em, FIVE - posts on spring rates. Surely the busted-*** honda-tech search engine can come up with something.
I searched on "spring" in this forum and found 11 threads. That was just in the recent stuff - I'm sure there's more in the archived posts.
As for me, I run 425F / 600R.

well....the search for spring rates didn't yield the results I wanted. I don't want a bunch of tech info and discussion on theory. I just want to know what spring rates people are running who autoX their integra's. I've decided that my 253/123's are WAY WAY to soft and am thinking of moving to something along the lines of 300/350 or 350/400. I'd like to keep the rates low enough so that my tokico HP's can control the spring still. Thank you
500 front 450 rear ground controls on a type r. don't forget that the type r shccks are stiffer than others. am very pleased with how the car handles and rotates

400f/300r Ground Control Sleeves with ERS on Koni Yellows.
Looking to go stiffer in the rear next season possibly.
Maybe in the 450-500 range.

475F/400R GC ERS springs with Koni Sports. I actually wanted 450 or 475 all around but those were back ordered as well as 425(R), 500(F), etc. so I got what they had in stock between 400 & 500.. Doesn't mean all these rates everyone is listing here are the best for you or for auto-x or other racing, and certainly mine aren't. I 'm just experimenting for now until I find the right ones for me and my car. Replacement GC springs are usually $50 ea. so it's not hard to swap out the front only or the rear..
If your car is a daily driver you may not want Carl's spring rates (425F/600R). They 're not comfortable at all for daily driving (correct me if I 'm wrong Carl) and could be somewhat dangerous on the street if you 're not experienced enough and apply the brakes while turning or on a sweeping exit ramp when going pretty fast. The rear will come around on you as I have a friend with 450/600 rates in his CSP CRX, and can only brake or ease off the gas in a straight line. The ride I experienced in his car was unforgettable as the rear of the car (plus myself), would bounce with force on the slightest crack or bump on the road (not sure how his double adj. shocks were set..). So think of the purpose and the "mission" of your car is when you decide to get high rate springs.

thanks for the replies fellas! Basically...I just wanna stiffen the overall ride up a bit. My sway bars are a bit big for the spring rates I'm running...and I'd like to run a higher spring rate in the rear. I'm looking into the 300-350 range in front and 350-400 in the rear. Gonna be making a call to Truechoice pretty soon...so I just wanted to see what kind of rates everyone was running.
