try http://www.improvedtouring.com
there is a message board there, with both general IT discussion and marque-specific discussions. Somebody there has likely tried it.

I've done them on Porsche, Mazda, and Honda. I guess I don't understand what your question is from the post. There's no kit out there, you start with a King Bearing and Aurora Bearing catalog, find the pieces you need, buy them, and start the machine work and welding.

yeah i heard of theese joints..

356racing: ok soryr maybe i wasn't clear in my question
eheh

what i need more is experience from people that done it..
cause i don't wanna start doing this and find out that i missaligned something..or didn't buy the right bearings
ehhe

what do people weld the bearings with ? what kinda of reinforcements should i consider if any ?
and alos what size of bearings to use ( that is something i seriously don't know haha)
tx..

Possibly direct this ? to NASAChris - he has an EP RX-7 that probably uses bearings in place of bushings. Or check the IT and Prod web forums and e-mail lists. I doubt many people here have done it, as the common Solo classes do not allow them (Stock, xSP, STS).

Why are you looking to do this conversion? It will be custom job, no matter what. Instead of using a stock part with bushings (rubber or poly) you will need to measure, re-measure, and measure one more time and then machine some parts nad order some spherical bearing components and put it back together. this is a good time for custom suspension parts if you know what you're doing, to gain more camber/caster.

i know what i'm doing..
and i can do it ..
and i have the compelte winter and beginning of spring to do it so ..

the only real thing i'm afraid is to get perfectly the right measures for the arms to be at the right precise point where it was
i don't think i'll begoing full custom ..
