Simple question
Hey guys,
I was just wondering what is the procedure of proper bedding of a new rotor with an old pad? How does it compare when you have a new rotor with a new pad? Do you even have to bed new rotors?
P.S. Kinda made a mistake of putting my new HP+ with the old rotor that had OEM pads and I will look at them over the weekend to see if they got glazed badly and change the old rotors that are perfectly fine with new ones like I should have in the beggining. If they are what is a good procedure to remove the glazed surface of the new pad? Sandpaper? Fine file?
Thanx in advance!!

Anytime you have two braking surfaces that are unfamiliar with each other, you should go through the bedding-in procedure. Even using the old rotors and new pads, you should've done this. Same for slightly used pads and brand spankin new rotors. Sandpapering an old rotor helps, too. Cleans the old rotor of old pad material left behind.
