SCCA rules and engine swaping
Unfortunately, you would have neither an ITA EX nor an ITS Si - the rules require that the VIN and specs match the line in the book under which you are running. We can't "make a model" by doing what you describe.
I frankly think it's kind of a dumb rule.

NASA allows a bit more flexibility in this area. Check the rules for Honda Challenge.

You should be able to run in DSP (I assume you're referring to autocross classification). The Civic lines in SP are a little grey IMO, though.

If you have a b16a3 a del sol non VTEC trim, you can stil run in DSP. Same thing with a GSR swap in a RS integra (would be lighter then a normal GSR) Since the ITR will now be running in DSP, I would assume that you can swap in an ITR swap into an RS and still run in DSP.

For street prepared, you on only swap if the cars are listed "on the same line" in the SP listings.
Notice del sol is only listed once, for all of them. That means it's fair game for del sol owners to use any parts off any del sol.
Notice there are three Civic listings and two Integra listings. You cannot swap parts between cars that are not listed on the same line, or if you're looking at moutons.org they need to listed in the same cell.
As standing Integra GSR is on it's own line in DSP, ITR is on it's own line in CSP, and all other integras are on thier own line in DSP. So no swapping ITR or GSR motors into other intrgras. I belive it is being considered to move ITR to DSP on its own line still though, so no ITR swaps.

sorry for thread jacking but i am new to the this scene cause iwas always drag racing my car. I wanted to jump into this type of raceing and i know i am gonna need a lot of practice before i get any good times exspecially since my car is modded already and i am gonna have to jump up on the class. but what class would i have to run in with my 96 civic dx with teh mods i have that are in my sig. I figured street mod class but i didn't know which one. I also just gutted from my back seat on to my hatch and added both front and rear upper strut bars.

Put in the rear trim and you can run Street Mod. Without the rear interior, you are E-Modified. You do not need the rear seat, but you do need the rear interior panels.

As of this year, the ITR is now in DSP. There was a post about this a few weeks back.

I thought it was up for member comment and being considered for next year. I have not seen a new rulebook for this year yet so I don't know for sure. They generally will not change a class after the first of the year. As far as RS and GSR, my understanding was that next year they would be on the same line but not this year.

I believe he'd be in D modified since he is under 2 litres.
