Street mod is: engine swaps (from same manufacturer - Honda/Acura, Toyota/Lexus), turbos, superchargers, big brakes, DOT racing tires, engine management systems. The cars have to be registered for the street - be street legal.

to you, Todd, for knowing your stuff!I agree, a SM-prepped M3 will be very, very hard to beat. Those cars are amazing stock, I can only imagine what a beast they'd be in SM trim...
I am real interested in seeing Terry Bakers latest SM BMW when he gets finished developing it. It is a 318 with a 3.0L M motor. It is fast now, but when he really gets it dialed in, that thing could fly. It weighs a lot less than the actual M3's. Like in the 2500 lb range.
