Default Rules on Altering Driving Suits?

So I got my fancy suit in the mail this week. It's not custom, and being that these things are made for guys (not girls, despite what the adds liik like) it really is WAY to big in the waist. I am considering taking it to a tailor to have a few darts put in it, but didn't know that the rules were on that. i.e. Is there a specific thread that has to be used. Nomex perhaps, or is thread just thread.

r2x ~ who is sure someone on the board knows what the rules are, or knows where she can find them.

I doubt there would be a problem with you using Nomex thread. You can get the thread from places like IO Port.

Nomex thread would be required where it holds to suit together. Cosmetic stuff will not require nomex thread.
