Default quick road racing question.

How would I go about getting into road racing. Is it just like auto crossing I can just go to the events and run my car? Do I need anything done, paper wise, like a license for it or anything. Thanks in advance.

There used to be a nice sticky at the top, it said "So you want to race on a racetrack" or something like that... it's gone, but here is the thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=972109

There are more links in here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/353425

People are told to search for a reason. Worst comes to worst, nobody answers and you'll probably end up searching anyways. If you don't feel like reading through all those links (and some are pretty informative), at least browse through it so that you can ask slightly more specific questions. Depending on what organization you race with, there are different requirements. Or you can go to open track days, where all you do is pay a fee, bring/rent a helmet, pass a quick tech inspection and drive all day.

Of course, who wants to keep repeating the same old information. Search is your friend so it's best that you get acquainted.

went down on you, and you cut ties? there's something wrong with your head... i suggest starting doing DEs, not quite road racing, but a really good start.

Check out http://www.nasaproracing.com, they have HPDE (High Performance Drivers Ed) where you can show up and drive with an instructor, many of which are on this forum. Next event is at Willow Springs (not far from you in, it's up in Palmdale) May 5th and 6th. Sign up for both days here ( https://www.nasaproracing.com/...d=557 ) for HPDE1, be on time and be ready to learn and have fun!
