Well I realize its been forever since I updated my build but I have some good updates... I have not got to actually track the car yet, Its been on the track does that count LOL? I have been to the track twice with the car since it was put together and it manages to be broken before the first hot lap of the day. Once was my fault as I knew I was going to be cutting it close with the motor staying together on the greddy kit as the motor had 80k on it and 25k of it being turboed. Long story short 3 cracked ring landings and 1 bent wrist pin, Only made it around the warm up lap then down the front straight on hot lap 1. Imagine that, that's what you get when you don't listen to your gut (and friends) Haha. So freshened up the motor with new race bearings, forged wisco pistons, and eagle H-beam rods.

While it was down I ended up selling the greddy turbo setup as someone wanted it and it was all off for the rebuild. Well this is where the second issue comes in. I had most of the parts for the new turbo setup. Right when this build thread started I had bought this garret GT3071-r that had been ported/ polished and high temp coated for a good deal... obviously to good. Well between the rebuild of the motor and getting the new backdoor setup, new rad for the backdoor, tune and all the fab work to go along with it I had 1 1/2 months to accomplish this. long story short got it all done with 3 days to spare for the tune lol. Put roughly hundred miles on the motor and new turbo setup all was perfect. Car was running great off the acuator that was supposed to be 12-14 psi, But we were only getting 8-9 psi which we thought was really weird and could not trace it to anything related to boost/vac leaks. We left it at that as we knew the tune was safe. Well long story short I got screwed on the turbo we found out the abnormally load spin down after the motor was shut off was because there was a serious issue with the turbo the guy didnt decide to share with me. Well the turbo didnt decide to fail till front straight of the 1st hot lap haha. Good thing is it didnt get any metal in the motor somehow...

Here are some pictures of the new setup I will have some more of the whole custom radiator and backdoor when I do some cleanup.

And here it is for now......

next is oil cooler, freshen up the trans(cough lsd), and new turbo gtx3071r hopfully. Any suggestions or criticism is always welcome

The car was tuned safe off the actuator, didn't have enough time to get the boost controller all worked out, never had it on the dyno, I think he is planning to get some dyno time with the new turbo and Im sure he will share some numbers. I am the one tuning the car, thats the only reason I answered.

Powerneedy the car looks great as always. New turbo will be sick and maybe if you listen to me (you know.. "lets pull the pistons and check the ring landings before you put it back together" lol jk) it will get to put some nice times around the track.

Looks even BETTER in person too! Walking through the paddock at our last race this car stopped 8 of us cold. Couldn't leave till I looked it all over.

Well the 1st issue was me trying to wish the motor would stay together in those extreme conditions... the second issue It was a seller that thought he could scam someone...

Great work, car looks fantastic as it sits right now.

Too bad on the setup going sour, but new turbo should be a monster.

Looks great. Lucky the turbo didn't wipe out anything else downstream.

Can you post some more pictures of the wing setup and details? I'll be purchasing a universal gt200 here in a few days. Also, does the front diffuser replace the entire front lip?

This is the kind of build that inspires others to continue on with theirs. I mustve come back in the thread ~10 times to look at the pics just to see if there was anything I missed.

Keep us updated.

The spoiler is a gtc200 with gtc300 stands that have been modded to drop into the inside of the car to attach to the chassis... If I where to do it again I would pay a cnc shop to build the stands as the would be the same price but the exact way I want them

the splitter replaces the oem lip with a look alike but lower and the center section level with the outters.

The hood started its life like this

Name: GetAttachmentaspx.jpg
Views: 1348
Size: 17.5 KB

and ended like this after lots of carbon and fiber glass work. dont mind the primer berfore paint.

Name: GetAttachment.jpg
Views: 1327
Size: 10.7 KB

I got my idea from my old car... They used it to make the radiator perform better and increase front downforce with out the use of a splitter, of coarse this one was ducted and I plan on doing the same its just tricky with a motor and a turbo setup sitting in the way...

As for the tint it will leave its not that dark just looks like it in the pics. It has been tinted before I owned it just havnt had the time to remove it...

Thanks guys for the comments this has been quite a process as I have been told in the last 6 months lots of things couldnt be done... I have marked off 98% percent those things lets hope I can make the a 100 lol I will update with some other pics just have to get time as my wife and I are expecting another child and I work retail so It may be small updates.
