Is there any way to run the OEM tow hooks and the quick releases at the same time?
I currently run them and use them to hold my car onto the trailer. I'd like to keep using this spot, but can also get some J hooks and use them. It would just be a little cheaper if i could run both.

This has actually become a pretty common questions, I was same thing because towing becomes a little harder with out the OEM tow hooks. You can actually put them back on but you need to space them with some washers so you dont damage or bend the splitter brackets.

Good question Jimmy- I have been asked this many times as well. And its a good point-
It is quite easy to still retain the Stock Tow Hooks after the Splitter Brackets are installed. As Matt says... You will have to space the Tow Hook brackets with a couple of washers or Bend the lower eye section inwards slightly so you can hook your tie downs in.
It just means you transport the car with the Air-dam off.
Starting today - I will add a drawing with the instructions, showing how to do this.

thanks kiwi and matt. I'd have to take the splitter air damn off to transport no matter what though, I have an open car trailer with short ramps. So it is just easier for me to take off the splitter when transporting it.

I did like Kiwi said, just install some spacers or like 3-4 washers with some longer bolts, then bend the tow hooks inward. Works great!

I too would have to remove the splitter before transport.
I have long 5 FT ramps but the dovetail isnt long enough to make me breathe better.
On a side note I use web wheel nets on the front and ratchet straps with wheel lassos on the rear.. Then again my trailers floor rings were put in with a EG civic in mind.

My sincerest apologies. We only recently realized that there is a significant difference in the shape of the '96-'98 EK Bumper as compared to the '99-'00 version which we do have in production.
I take full reponsibility, and I assure you that our Distributor, Matt at MLR
was probably completely unaware of the differences when he took your order, which I believe has been refunded in full?
However, I have today ordered a New '96-'98 EK Bumper so we can get a Splitter kit for this model developed ASAP.
Once again I apologize for the misunderstanding or any inconvenience. Give us a couple of weeks and contact me directly and we'll make it up to you.

I would say its not cost effective if you look at what they are designed for and who is buying them (club racers) not REALTIME ACURA.

It had nothing to do with the miscommunication about there being a 96-98 front end splitter, it had to do with the amount I was refunded. But everything has been resolved

No! It is not economically viable. A splitter is a disposable item, It needs to be cheap to make, and easy to replace.
To make a carbon fiber Splitter and apropriate fixtures that works as well as the P1Spec Kit, would be at least 3 or 4 times more expensive!
Certainly not within the Club Racer budgets that most of us have.
