It's hard to answer a generic question like that. More specific questions will get you more specific answers.
If you're just starting out and you want to learn about driving and handling, start with the forum FAQ, which is one of the stickies at the top of the first page. Lots of good info in there. Then try searching for answers to more specific questions. There is lots of good information in this forum, you just have to search for it. You can also just hang out here and browse the new topics; you can learn a lot just from doing that.
Another thing to do if you're just getting started is, just go do it. Don't worry about the car. As long as it's in good mechanical condition it'll be fine. Take a cooler with some water, a helmet if you have one, get down to the nearest autocross, talk to people and have fun. Your driving skills will need way more work when you're first starting out than the car will, so the sooner you get started on them, the better off you'll be.
