I can't find the original topic on this so I don't know if it was already mentioned. In the July FastTrack, the proposal to move the Type R to DSP for Solo II is listed as "Member Items Not Recommended." See:

Yeah, that was me who sent that request in.

If anyone wants to back me on that, I'm all for it.

 

Only problem is, it's not recommended

 

On a side note, any ideas on where they will class the new RSX Type S? If its in DS next year with the ITR, wonder where that would put the RSX Type R, if we get one???

 

A friend of mine (Michael Lee, some of you might know him) just told me the latest stock class plan has the Neon in G-Stock. Supposedly it was originally put in D-Stock because it was a "Factory Hotrod" but since then other such cars like the Type-R and WRX have come out, and gone into G-Stock, so it didn't really make sense to treat the Neon differently anymore.

Are you kidding? Naturally, they'll put it in DS with the RSX Type S so that I won't be competitive anymore! *caugh GSR caugh*

 

I was also only one man sending a request in with no "substance" to it (evidence, etc). I think if a lot of us started to email the SEB, with reasons in hand, then perhaps they'll take a close look and realize that a 2400 lb Type R really can't compete with a 1700lb CRX. And the GSR is already in DSP and much the equal (autox speaking) to the ITR in SP form.

I suggest keeping your email short and sweet. If you send something real long, I bet they just delete it, or skim over it at the most.
