Default Hub differences?

I have a set of hubs that I took off an '88 CRX DX (almost certain) but they do not fit on my halfshafts (that fit my 89 CRX Si). I looked up a few 89's on Majestic's site and apparently, they have different PNs for the CRX DX/Si/Civic Si (86450) vs. CRX HF (86446) and another PN for the Civic STD (86449) and yet another for the 88 CRX DX (86448). Anyone know which ones (these are slightly narrower ID) are compatible with which years? They won't work for me but I am not certain who they would work for (and the OD apparently is the same). Again, in case it wasn't clear, its not a spline issue, its an ID issue. TIA

I don't know about the differences, but those numbers are not part #s, they are only used for the catalog.

I'm going to ASSume front hubs.

88 CRX DX Front Hubs - 44610-SH3-981

Fits:

88-91 CRX DX/Si
88-90 Civic DX HB
89-90 Civic Si HB
88-91 Civic DX/LX 4DR
88-91 Civic DX Wagon & Wagovan

These hubs do not come with wheel studs

The 88-91 CRX HF and 88-91 Civic STD have a different hub that doesn't come with wheels studs either

Now for the misc years that weren't listed there the only difference I see is that the new number comes with wheel studs. I don't have either in front of me to compare otherwise.

Yeah man, correct assumption. Now if these are the magical ones (the ones above) or if their halfshafts are the magical ones ... and someone wants a set of these and lives nearby (or knows someone that will be passing through ...), just PM me. They will not fit the halfshafts from my 89 CRX Si as an FYI.

Well, unless Adam has figured out some strange way to use halfshafts on his rear hubs... Good assumption.

Sorry. I'm just feeling all smartassy today.

Scott, who has multiple sets of hubs and halfshafts laying around and is now afraid they don't all work with each other as I had ASSumed (I had thought all of the 88-91 shafts and hubs were the same).

You mean Adam's CRX isn't AWD???

Hmmmm.......that's weird.
