Except for allowing 15" wheels this year, I don't think there are any changes beyond the class change at the 2450lbs weight. Of course I have not read the whole thing and they stopped putting a line next to changes from last year so I could have easily missed some things.

Off the top of my head, a front tow hook is now required. Was optional last year.

JRD, if you're planning on racing this year, you will need to have a hard copy of the GCR, anyways. Call the SCCA and have them send you one. They're only $20.

Speaking of, does anyone know when GCRs are being sent out to current members?

Why 96?

The 92-95 coupes are @ 2305 lbs

well honestly because i can get one extremely cheap and 100 pounds only equivalates (sp maybe?) into a 5 hp ( what would be equal to) difference. Im not really worried.

100lbs is huge against equal cars.

You're going to spend a bunch of $$ building, why start at a disadvantage?

Since you are in the SE, you should try to find Lyonel Kent and learn from all of his hard work over the last couple years. There isn't a better developed EX in the country, I'd wager. His is the previous generation to what you are talking about and, all other things being equal, RJ is right that 100# may indeed make a difference. Not nearly as much however, as would a little variance in driver skill of course.

I actually got the later cars listed in IT simply because I wanted something that was newer, for commercial reasons. It's kind of a bummer that they are heavier.

I too had trouble with the download with trouble from multiple ties on three computers until I read the text about the download link where it said something like "click here is having trouble" but was rahter hidden in the message. I did click there and downloaded the latest version of Adobe for free and then had no trouble downloading the 11+ MB file.

Try it again but this time take the time to update your reader. I don't renew my membership and license for a few months so I won' get a new print GCR for a bit but wanted to have the rules available in the finishing of my car. Having it on-line was helpful although I did have to do the software update.
