First timer impressions...and thanks!
I ran my first event on Memorial Day in the Detroit Region SCCA. All I have to say is it what AWESOME.
I appreciate all the knowledge on this board (I lurk in the competition board). I went in with my sh!tty Firestone winter tires, since everyone says it's all about seat time. That is soooo TRUE. I wish I didn't even have a motor swap. It's all about being smooth, and more power makes you get greedy (AND slower for me!)
Proof positive, when a GOOD driver in a full size Dodge pickup beats me by almost 2 seconds.
It was a very well laid out course, and it ran anywhere between 85 and 115 seconds overall (LONGGG- I ran a 101.XX). I'll be back for sure.
