Default Diamond Wheels

http://www.diamondracingwheels...d.htm

Does anyone use or know anything about these? Apparently in 15x7 they're cheap (~$60 per), light (~11 lbs), and since they seem to be mostly for roundy-round dirt track racing, I'd imagine they have to be pretty strong. They can be ordered in whatever size/offset you want, too (14x7 anyone?). Other than the fact that they're ugly as sin--They can even be powdercoated JDM blax0r y0!--I'd imagine with those properties Honda nuts would be all over them. Am I missing something?

Yup, they are good wheels. Used them for years on my RX-7. Probably not common in the soloII world b/c they aren't DOT. The larger wheels start to get heavy, but the 13s are not too bad. For the money, they are a good choice.

Ahh, not DOT. You're right, that would probably explain it. Still, at $60 per, that's a sweet deal for autox/HPDE wheels.

Does anyone have any experience with these with street tires? Or are they pretty much slicks only. I'd like to have a dedicated wheel set for HPDE/autocross, but I can't afford anything. This might be the answer, assuming they'll accept Azenis.

Same as any other wheel - I've never used slciks, only Toyo RA-1 and Kumho Victoracer. But the wheels are not DOT, so no street use.
