Bushing tech/suggestions
So, I did the whole ES bushing deal, which I now need to reverse. They are junk, and I think I found my source of camber change between driver, and pass side.
Yesterday, I discovered I had a bad driver side wheel bearing. Not something I wanted to replace, but not a big deal. I never do just one side, of anything, so i pull both knuckles. In the process of popping the passenger side upper ball joint, i noticed side to side/front to back play in the arm. After I got the knuckle off, I discovered it is the ES bushings I have up there.
Now, I had bought some brand new, OEM front lower bushings, which I had not yet installed. I no longer drive this car on the street, and routine inspection/maintenance doesnt bother me. Id like to get into wheel to wheel in the future, so, I guess doing things now, that need to be done, that will be beneficial in the future, is what im looking to do.
I can return the lower bushings, for now, I am gonna be using some OEM used upper bushings which I have, and still have some OEM lowers. My rear is ES also, but I plan to hold off untill AFTER summit in Oct. to tear the car down, and replace them.
Basically, would it be worthwhile to go with spherical bushings since, theyre all needing to be replaced anyways, and the car is not driven on the street aside from very occasionally. I do not want to retain the front lowers for next year, because, they're 11 years old anyways.
Suggestions?
