Bored at the office and thinking
Wouldn't it be a wonderful world if CART, IRL and F1 combined to form a series. Some ovals, many road courses, some street circuits. Around 36 cars in the grid, racing all across the world. Have a circuit like Bathurst thrown in there along with the Indy 500.
Hey its a pipe dream, but it would create one top level series instead of all the so and so > so and so. I'd like to see PT duke it out with TK and MS on one track. Hell F1 used to include the 500 back in the day, so why not now. I'd be curious to see how fast those F1 cars could haul.

I dunno I kinda like IRL, the St Petersburg race was awesome and I can't wait to see them at Sonoma and the Glen.

The IRL race at St. Petersburg was okay, but the damage that they've done to oval racing and open wheel racing in general is inexcusable.
If you are going to remove the power from the incompetent CART owners, you damn well better make sure you are going to do a better job yourself! Jeez, it gets me so angry sometimes.

Not if Toyota gets into BUSCH as they are rumored to. That'll stir up the pot a little bit.

But, that is racing a big political fiasco. F1 isn't any different, I am sure BTCC/ETCC, V8 Supercars and all are the same. When you start having big money, tv rights and everything you forget why you are racing in the first place. I quit worrying about who is doing what, I just watch the races. If they are fun then so be it, if not there are countless other series to watch.

They are already in the truck series, and it doesn't seem to be a big deal...

Ask a guy with a Confederate flag on his Ford pickup what he thinks.
I spend part of the year in the boonies, and its been bad in some areas with hardcore Bubba wanting all imports thrown out of the country. Other than that its been good, although I wonder what would happen if Honda or Toyota enter NASCAR. Busch and trucks are still not as popular among the oldies as Nascar is.

us kuntry folk ain't gunna watch enny em erre ferrin cars
I've parked cars at the Bristol races for years and I've parked a lot of Toyota's, Honda's, Nissan's, BMW's, etc. The majority of NASCAR fans wouldn't care and those that did care would just have a manufacturer to root against.
