Anyone TRY or USE Cobalt GT-Sport Brake Pads for Daily Driving?

that was my next question. at least due to wear patterns. i always heard people swap pads and i always though, "what about the rotors???".
you read my mind.

i'm curious to try Hawk Blues for Buttonwillow. i'm guessing those are appropriate pads? i'll also be swapping out a street pad for daily driving.
OEM, ITR rotors and calipers. </TD></TR></TABLE>
what tires are you running on track? r comps hopefully with the blues.

too much pad for street tires? currently running Azenis 615s, most likely going to Toyo RA1s next.
if not appropriate, i guess i should just stick with the Cobalts. it seems there is no general consensus on pads. EVERYONE has their own opinion and it differes from everyone else.

You can just turn the rotors (taking off as little as possible) and bed the new pads.

the time and money it takes to turn it, its much better to just have another set of rotors.
Around here rotors are 15 to 20 to turn. I get my rotors for 13.50 each. Plus i don't have to deal with taking the rotors off getting them turned, and then putting them back on.

Yeah I don't think you need R comps to use Hawk Blues or GT Sports....
You'll be fine with any decent pad.

same amount of work as taking off street rotors and swapping track ones, then back again.
turning each time makes no sense, though. i'd rather have rotors matched to the pad.
