Are you really from bulgaria?

If so maybe this option isn't the best but.

I would suggest going to a junkyard and buying the integra subframe and PS rack. The civic subframe has the mounting holes for the PS rack in a little different spot, which means the integra PS rack wont mount up to the civic subframe.

At least that is how it is here in the US.

I check subframes part numbers at ECP and they are the same.

In Bulgaria the part number from 92 to 93 is 50200-SR3-A50 and from 94 to 95 is 50200-SR3-H50. I think they are the same but honda changed the part number.
What about these remanufactured racks? Are they with oem quality?

The ultimate way to quicken up your steering rack is to install one of these:

The subframes are different, but you can still mount a PS rack to a non PS subframe. The trick is to widen the holes on the PS rack's passenger side mounting bracket. I've done this a few times and it works out very well.

If you can get the subframe as well, it will make it easier, but it isn't necessary.

And then you need a 500mm steering wheel to get the leverage needed to turn that sucker

Yes, I am form Bulgaria.
My car is LHD EG6 with power steering. LTL is 3,25 but i need to change my rack because i have some problems with it. I think that the best option is to get a little faster GSR's rack wich is 3 LTL but i don't know anything about these remanufactured racks. Is the quality ok or to get used rack?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but don't eg and dc2 p/s racks have the same the ratio? The only reason the eg rack has more turns LTL is because it just has more notches. Meaning you get more steering angle with the eg p/s rack compared the dc2 one.

Not if you have power steering.

I've never heard that, and have seen published numbers that say the ratios are different. Having thrown an Integra rack in my car, and then swapped it back to the stock Civic rack, I can verify that at least whatever I was using was in fact different. Beyond that, there are a handful of different EG racks (Si vs. CX/DX as one example), with some being PS and some not.

As for having PS with a quickener, good idea, but who has time for PS!

You just need to hit the gym boy! Try 2.4 LTL on an EF (Quaife, it really is 2.4 LTL, trust me, I counted) with 285/30-18s on 18 x 10.5, LSD, and about 200 ft/lbs of torque just before the motor blew up. Oh, and the steering wheel is a 320mm Momo.

You're just nuts, dude. I can handle heavy steering, but that sounds silly.

It was. Quite silly to be honest. I couldn't drive it properly. I had plans to put MR2 power steering into it, but then I moved on to the next project. I just decided even with the flares I put on it that it was going to look absolutely ridiculous.

Bye bye old friend:

I have a steering quickener on my car and it has power steering and let me tell you, I can turn that thing at the last second to set the car in the corners and then get the wheels straightened up with minimal effort. I didn't run one last year and I fought the steering wheel like a bad habit it was nearly impossible to run consistent laps without it. I dont ever drive it on the street so it is feasible considering a track only car.

In the US PS subframes are identical between 92-95 civics and 94-01 integras. However the non-ps subframe is different.

The 01 integra subframe in the ebay link will bolt right up and reduce your steering LTL assuming you currently have a ps subframe.

Jaker, I'd love to see your new whip, but I'm getting nothing but red X's.

Anyone else seeing the red X's? It works fine for me, even after I log out of my Photobucket account.

Works for me now, weird. 4-door definitely looks way less sillier than 2-door

I've got a question about steering racks, too.

Will a Del Sol VTEC's PS rack bolt up on a '99 Si? I used to own an EG2 and when I got my EM1 I realized that the Del Sol's rack was noticeably quicker than the Si's. I've always been wondering if they would mount up, but I've been unsure since the EG2's steering wheel and dash and pretty much the whole interior is mounted lower than a Civic's. And obviously there are a lot of minute details changed, especially in the suspension.

Alternatively, does anyone know of a company that makes a quick-ratio PS rack for an EM1?
