So the other day I'm parked next to my dad's car and it's real windy outside. I was getting into my car but I stopped for a second to say goodbye to someone and I left my door open half way. When I turn around I watch the wind blow it into my dads door
It really wasn't all that bad, no dents or anything just a tiny white scuff mark from my door on his.
So my question is, what is the best way to fix it? If it's minor enough could it just be buffed? Or would that do more damage and rub it into the paint more? I told him I would fix it. So if anyone knows the proper way to fix it or if you have any good ideas please post!
PS its dark here right now but I will take a picture of it tomorrow so you guys get a better idea.
Thanks!

If you just shared paint with him, some light rubbing compound might do it. Otherwise, a good rotary or orbital buffer used with some medium compound will get out the light scratches from door dings.
We have customers come in asking for paint transfer removal all the time. I usually get a rag soaked in lacquer thinner and wipe it away. Often times it "drys" out the paint in that one spot so I just come back with a foam pad that I've used recently and just buff the shine back into it. It might be easier for you to just rub some light compound on it and get it off like RoadRage mentioned. You can even use your finger and create enough heat/friction to possibly get it off as well. Good luck!
